Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our host,Helen made us feel very welcome from our arrival making sure we had everything we needed and made our stay with my 90 year old dad extremely memorable

Road noise could be a little loud but didn’t really concern us as we were out in the daytime.
Helen are host was fabulous very engaging and the property it’s self is beautiful room was perfect along with the lounge area to relax in the dining room again fantastic the choice for breakfast was wonderful.

Check in was a little late at 4pm and my husband didn’t like the tea, but it could have been the UHT milk. Minor details though.
The property was very convenient for our trip to a friends wedding at Kilronen Castle. We stayed for one night and had an early start the next morning back to Knock airport. The property had everything we needed including an iron and board and was comfortable. The host extremely helpful and friendly.

Not a complaint, but an obervation Premises too far from mobile network so do not expect data coverage inside. Nothing they can do about it, mobile networks have to do better
What a little gem of a hotel, clean, spacious rooms Helen the land lady was brilliant, going above and beyond to help us, making dinner reservations for us. Breakfast was gorgeous Car park ample for guest numbers

Easy to find, comfortable beds, warm & cosy, and very clean. Helen is a great host and the house is lovely. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but I will definitely return.

Everything amazing
We really liked everything, started with the location right beside the forest park and all in Lough key forest park honestly it a bit of a hidden gem,room perfect spotless clean,nice bathroom, comfortable beds staff absolutely fantastic friendly and a wonderful safe environment, breakfast was just perfect fresh fruit cereal yogurt fresh juice coffee and a full Irish breakfast we will definitely be going back

The location is on the doorstep of LoughKey Forest Park which has an abundance of family friendly activities. The premises is beautiful with its own relaxing garden to enjoy. The host is a very friendly helpful lady and her breakfast was magnificent.

Nothing but a longer stay at this property, I booked for two nights, then decided to stay for one more because it was so nice and quiet and comfortable.
The bed was very comfortable. It was spacious .the bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great and always plenty of hot water.Ellen the owner and host was very friendly accommodating and cared about her guests. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and also water.

That we were only there one night and didn't get to fully explore grounds. Maybe could have what options were for breakfast listed so easy to request if wanted something different?
