Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe courtyard is restaurant seating so the music can go pretty late, which wasn’t really a problem since there’s a fan in the room we used for white noise.
There’s a little waterfall outside which was beautiful. The breakfast was good, the room was a good size, and the bed was so comfortable.

United KingdomThe property was modern, clean and had yet old but worldly appeal. I loved the bar downstairs Cask. The food was great and value for money, it had a great courtyard that was brilliant was a drink or food. The location was excellent and we’d definitely stay there again when visiting Cork.

IrelandThe cutlery was not clean and there was a stagnant smell coming from the bathroom and would spread through the apartment if the door was left even slightly open. The water ran cold in the apartment so we couldn’t shower the first day of our stay and it took a long time for the water to heat up again, we could only use the shower on the last day of our stay which wasn’t ideal. As we were on the top floor it was very awkward having to go up and down all the stairs in such a humid building, when picking rooms it would be great to advertise what floor the room is on when selecting a room the website. Wouldn’t recommend for people with a lot of luggage to stay on the top floor.
Very spacious, tasteful furnishings and the TV was great we could log into Netflix and the wifi was good, although it is located very close to the city centre it was still nice and quiet with no noise interruptions throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and so were pillows.

CanadaRestaraunt undergoing renovations that start up around 8:30am. Not super loud but did always wake us up. Which was OK because it wasn't jarring and we didn't want to sleep too late.
Beautiful old building with updated, comfortable rooms. ALL of the staff were absolutely lovely.

New ZealandThere wasn’t much ventilation in the bathrooms, so everything in the bathrooms ended up wet from the condensation of our showers. However, that’s the only thing we can think to fault the apartment! Note: the apartments we were in can only be accessed by stairs, there are no lifts. This wasn’t an issue for our family but may be for others.
Well situated in the city- easy walking distance to most things. The 3 bedroom apartment we booked was spacious, and had plenty of room for our family of 5 adults, plus all the needed amenities. Each bedroom was like your own hotel room down a hallway within the apartment, and the living space separate from the rooms provided plenty of privacy for everyone. Great pubs and restaurants below the hotel and nearby, plus two convenience stores either side also. Wish we had stayed longer, we will be back if we are ever in Cork again!

IrelandOnly thing, wish there was a fridge in the room but that's just personal preference. Also addition of room service for food or drinks would be nice :)) Also wish there was a way to turn heating off as it was always on and it was super warm
Really loved the fact that it's 10min walk from the station and so many options for food both in hotel restaurant, cocktail bar and surrounding areas. Beds were very comfortable too!
