One staff member banging down our bedroom door and accusing my wife and myself of smoking in the bedroom which was not the case. She didn't believe and came in to smell the room. I did not appreciate that one bit

Receptionist check in. Awful. No welcome No hospitality No explanation of facilities on offer. Rude. Morning plated breakfast so very average. Room very average for 200 euro.

Sausages at breakfast could have been better quality. A little expensive but par for the course in Kilkenny and better than other places we have stayed at same price.

Nice quiet room equipped with coffee facilities and complimentary water which is no longer a given with 4 star hotels and I really appreciate. Comfy beds. Breakfast had good options and was served to you at the table which was nice.

The 4 o clock check in is ridiculous at this stage no need. Very unfair for the money paid. It was actually after 4 when we got access to the room. The staff were very unfriendly. When I asked for the key to room at 4 it was like I was asking for a kidney..

New systems for front desk so i would expect teething problems. I asked for receipt as I paid cash it took a while but it was a proforma invoice instead. We were not on list for breakfast and while I was there I got an email from booking.com to say I was a no show.

The swimming pool was fab, the presentation (decor) was so fresh and modern. Reception area was large, the bar good was a generous portion.

Picked up a dent in my car door that’s going to cost €1000 to repair. So beware of the tight car parking, especially when a wedding is being hosted.

It's a pity there was work going on in the hotel with started between 8.30 and 9am drilling and banging so we ended up leaving well before check out time.

The room was a little dated, bathroom too, they could be renovated (especially bathroom), but beds were comfortable. There were no outlets near the bed and my husband uses a CPAP machine to sleep. He talked to the reception staff, and they provided a long cable socket outlet and left it in the room, so all was resolved in a few minutes.

The hotel was quite good, and it had excellent facilities (lobby, restaurants, active club and pool area). The room could have improvements, it was a little dated, bathroom too, but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good and exceeded our expectations. The buffet area and restaurants were beautiful, and the staff was helpful and attentive. The children's menu was quite impressive, I had never seen so many options for children in restaurants. The pool area had a nice children's pool, and the reception desk staff was great too. I would recommend a stay there (couples, families with children) and would stay again in the hotel.
