Cleanliness was good but some areas would’ve benefitted from a more thorough clean -the front entrance way was cobwebby, smudgy tv screen, etc. One of the showers didn’t work during our stay.

Would have loved more USB points or charger in the house. Little touch like carton of milk in fridge or other essentials would have been great although the host did provide other items such as dishwasher tablets, cookware etc.

A lovely house to stay in with very comfortable beds. Food in the adjacent Kilronan Castle hotel is excellent. A great area for walks and hill climbing. Great scenery. Lots of places of megalithic interest to see.

There was a bit of clarification required on how it was charged (e.g. per person/per bedroom/per house??) which needed to be clarified - not clear upon booking. Also, no heat was on at time of arrival (which had been requested and confirmed) - had to find out how to set and wait for unit to heat up.

Main bathroom shower had only one setting full power and hot, you had to get out of the shower to turn it off made it awkward to use

Fabulous house on the grounds of Kilronan Castle. All the comforts of home and lots of space along with having the convenience of the facilities of the hotel on hand. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. I highly recommend this house. The host went above normally expected helpfulness with us, and was most accommodating. Her son also helped us, and he was a lovely polite young man.

I hope to be honest in my review, and I am saddened by the hosts attitude towards us as guests. Overpriced for the lack of attention to detail at the property. It could be easily resolved by the host. So hopefully, it will be in the future, but do check first. We found issues with the property. I approached the host privately after we had left with pictures we took on arrival. I did not contact the host during the stay as we had a full schedule, and the issues were not quick fixes. I was also put off by the initial interaction with the host that I will mention below and did not want any altercations during our stay. The host may live nearby, but we were unaware of this at the time of our stay. The host must have been aware that repairs were needed to the property in advance of our stay but did not inform us of any issues with the accommodation. I can't fault the location of the property, which is lovely. However, when I raised the issues we experienced with the host privately, she was rude and certainly not interested in taking any responsibility for maintenance needed at her property to make it safe for guests. The host made a threat that she would 'ensure other hosts knew about me...' When I raised a complaint about my stay with booking.com. I had tried to raise it privately with her first to avoid a negative review. I know these reviews are not helpful for hosts, but I do not appreciate threats. I will list some of the issues we found below. This is not an inclusive list but will give you a general idea. The host said we left at 11.30. We left just before 10.30, which was our check-out time. The host was not there when we left, so she is not sure why she thinks we left later than we did. The shower in the main bathroom was not safe. It is not safe to have a shower turned on and off via an extractor fan pull cord.

The location is amazing. The house has the potential to be fantastic. The castle grounds are lovely and it is a beautiful part of the country The beds were comfortable and well made, plenty of towels provided. WI-FI.

We had a very relaxing stay in one of Kilronan's self-catering houses. The house was very clean and it was well stocked with everything we needed. The house is a very short walk to the castle itself, which was lovely for going to the pool with the children and for having meals out.
