During my 10 day trip through Ireland, this way my favourite stay. It is the perfect location to explore the Bantry area with Mizen and Sheep's Head. I had a spotless, very quiet room with a lovely view, the breakfast is delicious, rich and comes with homemade bread and jelly and the hosts are kind and friendly and very helpful. A friendly dog & cat duo makes for a perfect stay.

The house is just a couple of minutes by car away from Bantry. The host is very friendly and I felt at home. I got a full irish breakfast and it has been delicious. One room does not have a bathroom inside, but the external bathroom is just across, looks very new and very modern.

The bed tended to slope inwards a bit, but it wasn't too bad and was more than made up for by everything else.

Siobhan was a lovely hostess, who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great (in fact, it was difficult to finish it all). Her recommendation for a place to eat was spot on! Altogether, a great experience.

The low power on the shower although we understand this is due to it being eco friendly. it would have been good to have some robes as the bathroom was not en-suite.

Somewhat difficult to find.

The breakfast was first class and the cup of tea on arrival was something else. Our host was a lovely lady with a beautiful smile. The only down side was it was difficult to find but we got there and would without a shadow of a doubt stay there again and I would highly recommend it. Very nice indeed.

The hosts were most welcoming and kind, Siobhan gave us the warmest welcome and showed us around, Val spared time talking to us throughout the evening. We felt as if we were visiting friends. The room we had was separate from the main building with a private terrace, it was spacious, clean and with the most amazing views and sunset. The breakfast was just perfect, we had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, fresh fruit salad and beautiful hand made jams from local fruits. We most definitely hope to visit again.

I can't recommend La Mirage highly enough. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect and had fabulous views over Bantry Bay. There were lots of extra toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities which even included chocolate and a selection of herbal teas. The whole place was spotless. The bed was very comfortable with plenty extra pillows etc if needed. Breakfast was truly fit for a King! As well as fresh fruit and orange juice there was a variety of cereals. This was followed by a choice of cooked breakfast which included scrambled egg with smoked salmon as well as the usual "Full Irish" All freshly cooked to perfection. This was accompanied by a selection of toast, homemade brown bread and scones. Overall it is a place I definitely intend staying again. A must for anyone in the Bantry area. You won't be disappointed.
