Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMore good... The terrain is thick and grassy, and the wind strong, but the scenery is out of this world and the little rocky stream that they found was beautiful. The beds are medium firm but comfy. The bedding is clean and soft and the duvets are just warm enough to keep you cosy. There are smoke alarms (I didn’t see a carbon monoxide alarm, but they may have had one). There is plenty of parking outside each property and church bells strike occasionally (pleasant, not too loud). There’s a Tesco and an Aldi 5 to 6 miles away. Tralee has a Primark with waterproof clothing, Kerry Museum, a vegan restaurant and a number of bars. There are big plans for the properties to include hot tubs etc, which will be lovely. I just hope it doesn’t put the price up too much! The weather is very changeable, going from rain and gale-force winds through to warm sunny periods within the hour. Lightning was forecast, then not forecast. Bring clothing for every occasion. Despite wind and rain, there were plenty of people swimming in the sea! We arrived 31st August and it was around 16° with a strong, warm wind. We never felt cold, but did get wet and struggled to dry our bits (so bring plenty of changes). Our scariest moment was leaving our hire car lights on all night! In the morning it was dead. Orla and another member of staff were amazing and Orla drove us to Halfords to buy some jump leads (cheaper than a rescue service), then, our neighbour jumped our car. We left the leads so Orla has them if you are as silly as us! This was an absolute life-saver and we are so grateful for the help of Orla and the others. There is a security box to pick up /drop keys (if no one is there). The communication from the owners is great, with info about bins /check-in times, well in advance. The property is great value; clean, spacious, amazing location; the owners very hospitable. It has everything you will need for an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend! 5 stars!
This is a lovely chalet with lots nearby. Tralee town is 10 mins, Kerry airport - 20 mins, dingle bay - 40 mins and Fenit 30 mins. Derrymore beach is 5 mins drive. The Eco centre/nature reserve, waterpark and windmill are very close by. We arrived at chalet No12 and were very impressed. Spotlessly clean with lots of room. We had 1 double bedroom, 2 twin rooms, sofa for four + kitchen table for four. All the bedrooms had incredible mountain and sea views. The double room gets the sunset and even a herd of cows outside (one morning). There was a washing machine (no tumble dryer) and a large fridge. Enough cutlery, crockery, cups for a family. Orla (the host) left a welcome hamper, including: orange juice, milk, water, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, chocolate, a pack of playing cards and more. This was far more than we expected! And lovely. The shower was powerful and warm. There were plenty of toilet rolls, towels and hand and body wash included. Note: Be careful with the quilted toilet roll as the toilet can block! (also easily fixed). There’s a courtyard shared with the neighbouring property to hang washing or have a cigarette. All the rooms are very quiet. The double bedroom has a slight wind noise as there is a gap around the edge of the window. This also makes it a little cooler- which was fine for me, as I get quite hot. Orla did say to text her if we wanted the heater (that is on a timer) to be on more. I think it was set to 21.5 degrees. There are storage and dustbins in every room, mirrors (large and small) and a hairdryer in the bathroom drawer. The bedrooms were lockable with keys. When one of our door handles was loose and I was worried it might come off and I would get stuck in the room, Orla’s husband came around within half an hour to fix it! They also gave us some tips about how to access the mountains (which look deceptively easy to climb). My husband and son only got a little way in an hour. It would take a few hours to get to the top.

IrelandIt was a safe area, scenic views from the big windows. It felt very open, and heavy shades that keep the sun out in the mornings if you need. Felt like a temporary home, comfortable living space and comfortable beds. Fridge with fresh orange juice and milk found at arrival. Toiletries and cooking utensils available. Heating controlled by the host, who is super responsive! Though no outlets yet in the bathroom, there was an extension cord so we successfully reached the mirror in the hallway.

SpainNothing. All perfect
The house is very complete and has 3 bedrooms very spacious with one double bed and three single beds. It is very comfortable and you have all that you need. The outside don't have anything but the owners are working to finish it. But it's not a problem. The views are fantastic and is very closer to Tralee and to visit a lot of things, like Dingle and Kerry ring. The owners left us milk, bread, juice and more to breakfast. We recommend it!
