Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe were disappointed that there was no trad music at night but the locals were fun to talk to and the restaurant was popular, too.
This was a lovely old "Pub with Rooms" with the pub dating back to the 1850's. It was a traditional pub within walking distrance of Trinity College and the Temple Bar area. The pub seemed to be a very popular spot for young, professionals in the area and was quite busy into the evening. As with most old buildings, there was no air conditioning but fans were provided. The pub staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to get into the lodgings and to check out. It was a lovely stasy.

United StatesCoffee and tea room was pretty sparse.
Great location for many attractions and access to DART train. Breakfast was not included (although it was listed as included when we booked the property). There was no change in the room rate even though the breakfast was deleted. We did eat at the Trinity Hotel and enjoyed it.

United StatesIt's often confused with Oneills Pub. Make sure you map Oneills Victorian.
Centrally located, although the neighborhood was a bit rough. We never felt unsafe. The room was comfortable although street noise can be an issue and it could use some updates. Overall, we were happy with the room.

United StatesI didn’t like that a guest came in at one singing at the top of their lungs, tad annoying!!!!
The downstairs pub was delicious. The room was clean and the beds were cozy.

Czech RepublicWas a little run down and the location wasn’t in the nicest part of town. That last but I was aware of, but it was very easy to get to the centre and main attractions
Quaint, comfortable, clean. Exactly what I needed for my one night before catching a flight.

United KingdomThe building is old and so you do hear other people in other rooms and it can be quite loud at 4am/5am if they've been out! But, there is nothing anyone can do about that and it can happen anywhere. It didn't detract from the lovely stay we had
Excellent location. Spacious and clean room Lovely building and staff Secure The kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities is a fantastic touch and we utilised that every morning I would definitely stay here again, it exceeded my expectations

Czech RepublicMaybe cheaper prices for drinks in the pub, but I realise this is Dublin! Some live traditional music in the pub would be great.
Our reception at the pub was friendly and prompt. Located within a few minutes' walk of the Temple Bar and Trinity College area, with many buses stopping in the one-way Pearse street, as well as the Dart train station just 5 minutes down the street, were all most convenient. The tea and coffee provided, as well as the fridge in the dining room, were very welcome, with a lovely outlook on the street. Delicious breakfast pastries were available at Bread 41 next door, so there is a definite saving on eating breakfast out. The room was spacious, the carpet and bathroom spotless. Daily cleaning was done. The noise of the street was not heard when the windows were shut. The beds were comfortable. Having an amazing 18th-century pub downstairs for food and drinks was great. Staying in the historical Michael Collins room was an added bonus! I would definitely stay at O'Neill's if ever visiting Dublin again.

CanadaThe prices of hotel in Dublin are high, so it is in this case too. Sad the don't give a little breakfast option in the morning as they used to do. A lot of cafe options close by.
Nice option in downtown Dublin, upstairs of a pub, in a quiet area of the city. The room is confortable, and there is a little area where you can make tea and coffee. There is a private access to the rooms, so you don't have to go trough the pub at night

United StatesBe prepared for stairs. I didn't have a problem with a carry-on suitcase, but it can be a little difficult to navigate the first set of stairs with larger luggage.
Beautiful location, very cute and clean. It's a short walk to Trinity college. There is also a bus stop just across the street, and several others within a few blocks, so it was easy to navigate to a ton of places around town. Check in was a breeze. We ate at the pub downstairs and it was also very good.

United StatesThe location was great, and we loved being over the pub. The staff was very friendly and the food at the pub was excellent. Everything was clean and it was really nice having access to the kitchenette/dining room. The beds were very comfortable and in-room decor and amenities were perfect! It was a tiny bit noisy being right on the main street and next to the tram line, but we kind of expected that. It wasn't loud enough that it kept us awake or woke us up, but wouldn't be great for light sleepers (though I think you'll get some level of noise anywhere in the city). We didn't have an issue with the two flights of stairs, but it might be tricky for those with mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again!
