We hade 5 rooms and one had a bathroom with a sewage smell.

We left an item in our room after check-out and called the hostel later that day. The person on staff that day was not very helpful and was not willing to go to the room to see if it was there. Granted there were other guests now staying there but disappointing that no effort was made to recover our lost item.

Check-in staff were very friendly. Location was perfect for some local restaurants and bars. Very clean main areas and room. We are a couple in our 40's and this was our first stay at a hostel. We were pleasantly surprised to see guests of all ages and we really enjoyed our stay.

The hostel offered breakfasts, which you could pay extra for, and it looked lovely, but there was no vegan option or dairy-free option, which was a shame because Galway as a city is terrible for vegan options and it would have been really nice to have an option at the hostel. It would be super easy for them to do as well.

It was nice that the beds had a wee curtain around them, and the rooms themselves were fine with attached bathroom and lockers. The bathroom was clean-ish, depending on how many people had used it by the time you went in. The location is decent as it is right near Salthill beach. The big common area downstairs was also really nice with outside area and a big kitchen.

Great location. Only a 2-min walk to great restaurants and bars in the seaside area of Salthill. Really comfortable place to stay, with great communal facilities.

The Nest was a great one night stop for us. Nice areas to sit & mingle. Room was good, comfortable & our bathroom was Hugh! Breakfast was very good, just what we needed for our early start. Staff was very helpful about local things to do.

Nothing honestly, I loved it

It's such a cute place, has everything you need, staff are friendly, kitchen is extremely clean and organized and the bus stop is right outside so it's super easy to get into town. Plus it's right by the sea/ promenade which is also a great walk into town. Honestly so so super cozy. I loved it here

No cooked breakfast purposed. But the continental breakfast was excellent and worth 8€. Parking was full when we arrived but there is enough space outside free.

Super cute and comfortable hostel! Vibes were good and so is the location. Bed in the private room is super cozy. Staff were really friendly and there was a nice board posting the happenings in town which was helpful.

Mattress had a dip in the middle which wasn’t great but I’m sure they’re not all like that. Only bathroom was in the dorm with the toilet and shower together. I asked if there were more bathrooms available and was shown a single toilet in the lobby area. No room in dorm to repack if more than one person trying to access main packs from under beds at the same time.

Liked the location as it was only a 25 minute walk into the city and had plenty of free street parking. Welcoming entrance with a big kitchen. Very friendly staff. Small locker (for day bag) in room. Curtain around beds with individual light and power point.

Great facilities for self catering travellers including full kitchen use and fridge in each room as well as a large fridge in main kitchen. Cafe in-house. Small but comfortable rooms. Close to shops and the waterfront at Salthill.

Construction on going all day across the road. Waking at 8am to screeching diggers and mangling concrete. Not the Nest’s fault but made daytime rest impossible.

Not enough air in the attic bedroom and no AC to help it. Very noisy from outside, traffic, people walking, we couldn't rest properly. Not enough parking spaces in front of the property, but we were told where to park nearby and it was ok.

It's big, spacious room, with the bathroom set up for guests with disabilities. The whole hostel is lovely decorated. For us the location was good, very close to the ocean and maybe 30 min walking to the center of Galway (if you take the sea walking route). The breakfast wasn't outstanding, but doable for 8E/person.
