To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe only thing kind of negative was I wanted the room from the pictures online. I even asked if we were given the correct room. If the room in the pictures exists, I want that one next time.
Location! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, and although it is noisy on the street at night, it is pretty quiet in the room. Breakfast buffet was very good. We will return and stay at this property again.

CanadaJust a couple of things that took the shine off it - the lock on the bathroom door was broken (kind of essential with teenage kids staying in the same room), the phone was inoperative, and it was impossible to get a consistent temperature from the shower; it kept alternating between hot and cold every thirty seconds - taking a shower involved constantly stepping out from under it and then back in again, and no adjustments we made seemed to make any difference.
Fabulous location, lovely hotel, friendly and attentive staff. Not really much more to add as we were only there for one night, and left early in the morning. We got down to Reception at 0545, and they had the taxi driver there waiting to take us to the airport. Delighted. Earplugs were also very considerately supplied with the room - it's Temple Bar, after all, so we expected a bit of nighttime noise.

SloveniaFeeling that the equipment in the room (except the bed) is more suitable for a three star hotel, not a four star.
The hotel is in an exceptional location! As some people have already said in their comments, this may mean that it is not quiet at night. But it was not as bad as I expected. There was some music from a distance, but nothing that would made it impossible to sleep. Actually the bed was very comfortable, so we slept well. The staff were very friendly, and parking is available in the garage opposite the hotel. It has plenty of parking spaces. I have no complaints about the cleanliness either, everything was very clean.

United KingdomDue to location it is very noisy outside at night. The hotel do provide earplugs but bear this in mind when booking. The noise didn’t bother us but if you need silence for a good nights sleep go further out from Temple Bar.
The hotel was in a fantastic central location. The staff made check in/out very easy and held our luggage for us until needed. The rooms were a nice size and clean and the staff were all very friendly. They also served a lovely buffet breakfast for an additional cost.
