Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe hotel doesn't have an elevator. To get to the reception flour you need to go at least 40 stairs and then more stairs to your flour. We were on the 3rd flour and it was really hard for us to clime. They did offer us help to get our suitcases up and down. They didn't ask for tip or anything, but you definitely would want to add some money for tips. The breakfast was good, but not as abundant as at the most hotels in Israel. We were very surprised to see different price for each day we stayed. the difference was up to $60 We still don't quite figure it out....
the team was very friendly, always wanted to help. The hotel is very nice and cosy. the room was clean and spacey enough. We needed another chair and the workers brought it to the room. The atmosphere at the hotel was very relaxing, beautiful views all around. The history of the place is quite interesting.

United KingdomThe hotel was beautiful - One point worth noting is the stairs to get to the hotel. The staff will help with suitcases if asked but it may be difficult for people with limited mobility.
This is a charming hotel in Zikhron with a beautiful terrace under the vineyard and a gorgeous view overlooking the coast and sea. Perfect to catch the sunset!

United StatesSliding window not secure (though it was only accessible from the second floor) and it seems to be a very safe neighborhood. Doors have keys with bulky key ring, not cards.
Liked the location. Much available parking on the street if the lot was full. Beautiful property. Very safe and affleunt neighborhood.

United StatesThere is a staircase leading up to the hotel from the parking area, which was fine for our family but might be challenging for guests with limited mobility.
The location of the hotel was ideal, near the center of Zichron Ya'akov, and free parking was available. We asked for adjacent rooms for our family and received them. The Israeli breakfast was delicious, and there is a beautiful view overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from the dining room. Best of all, the bartender offered to make me a latte ("caffe hafuch" in Israel) and it was the best I had during my trip - I even had a second. Everyone was helpful.

Turkey1. There was a very bad noise from outside of the building probably because of central air conditioning. I have hardly slept at the first night. This was on the first floor. When I moved to fourth floor, the noise was gone and it was very comfortable. 2. The hotel does not accept reservation changes. This was already known. But when my client cancelled the meeting two days after, it turned out to be totally useless to stay at this place one more night. But they have rejected to drop my second night. They are consistent with what they commit. But it doesn't help with the flexibility of business environment.
Location is good. Has a nice view from the building. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and tidy.

The breakfast offered a variety of foods and the staff were very accommodating to our special dietary needs offering additional options that weren’t at the buffet. The view of the sea and ambiance was terrific; we also had a garden out of our room and a jacuzzi available. Only thing missing was a pool

BulgariaThere was hair in the shower sink so cleaning is a bit questionable. My room was very noisy at night due to the external AC unit located below my window. I could hear it spinning every couple of minutes, which was quite annoying for me.
