Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe rooms are very tiny and lack light in the bedroom
It is a self-check-in hotel, basically, you almost never face the personnel.

FinlandThe air conditioner in the shower made a huge noise. There was a note on the coffee machine in the lobby saying that there should be milk in the fridge, but there never was. There was no hot water either, so I couldn't have tea. The room reserved for luggage was an unguarded warehouse, so any of the hotel's residents could have stolen our travel arrangements.
The location was great and the staff was easy to reach by message. The room was nice and the fridge was a plus.

United KingdomThe rooms are quite loud - we had a room at the back so less noise from the street but the air conditioners are fairly noisy if you are sensitive to that. A few sockets in the room didn’t work for electricity which wasn’t a problem for us.
The location is great - especially for those travelling up from Elat on the TouristIsrael shuttle bus as the last stop is close. The reception staff are quick to correspond via WhatsApp and access was hassle free.

AustraliaI thought this was fine because I am a small person (5ft5) but if my partner (6ft) had come with me he would not have been able to use the bathroom comfortably as it is very small.
Great location. Walking distance (10-20mins) to the old city and Jaffa Road with the markets and many cafes and restaurants. 2min walk to the pick up/drop off point for Tourist Israel tours which was very convenient. I loved the contactless/keyless check in/out and entry. I had no worry of forgetting a key or card and locking myself out as the hotel and room are key code entry. This also allowed easy very late check in and very early check out.

NetherlandsBathroom is a bit small, but it is oke! You will not meet the staff, because it is self- check in. Questions you need to ask by chatting online. The beds are very hard.
Very good location! Close to the old city. And nice places close by to have lunch or dinner. You communicate with the staff by chat. They reply very quick!

AustraliaThis is a completely staff-less hotel, and booking.com should mention this more prominently. That type of stay should be listed as a separate category, so people know what to expect. I had hard tome trying to find how to enter it, and had to rely on shopkeepers around the area to point this out.
Location was very good, above expectation. The room was spacious , although the bathroom could be cleaner.

ItalyWindows did not close properly and the main road that runs just around the location made quite some noise during the night.
Located just outside the Old City, the hotel provided a good one-night stay. Clean and average size, the location had also a small pantry with coffe and water.
