Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe building and facilities are old, supposed to be reconstructed and renewed. The lunch and dinner are basic. The room was a little noise.
The location is perfect The private beach is excellent The breakfast is great The staff was very good and responsible. Especially Shlomit that took care about our stay. The room has an excellent size with a great view to the dead sea.

IsraelThe food is very basic and a poor choice compared to others all in hotels. One of the things is that they serve beer in tiny cups. That's a shame. The SPA is petite, and the wet sauna smells of the lavatory, all flour full of water.
Good location and amicable staffs

United StatesRooms were comfortable and clean. It all begins and ends with hospitality. The person in charge of this was Shlomit who made sure our stay was enjoyable. We were here for the second time in less than 2 months because of her fantastic attention to guests needs

IsraelThe number matched the photos on the booking. It was not new, but everything worked perfectly and was clean. Excellent beach! This beach is magnificent, I think this is one of the best places on the Dead Sea to truly enjoy this natural phenomenon. Very beautiful view the from the balcony! Very quiet place, you could see the stars at night. Great staff. Food for every taste. Nothing special, but a lot of choice and everything is fresh, excellent seasonal fruit

IsraelPretty old and was not renovated for a while. Toilet was almost breaking apart.
The staff were very good. Thank you very much Shlomit for the help with everything. There were many good activities for the kids which was really good for us. The hotel is a bit old and would have been good if they would have renovated. Overall the experience was very positive we enjoyed our stay very much and didn’t feel like there is a need to even leave the hotel.

CanadaLoud dance music at the lobby, smoky smell in my room, the doors did not close so room was very noisy being right above the pool. The staff was at times unhelpful and disorganized. Perhaps it was a language barrier.
Generous and tasty buffets. Room was very nice and comfortable, hotel is in the beach, very quiet and peaceful.

CanadaWhat we didn't like: *one of 3 water slides didn't work, and the other 2 were very slow *The pool became deep, but we didn't quite understand where the deep water started. A child who was with us started drowning! My friend's son can't swim and when he struggled to stay above water, it was a scary moment. I had to pull him back to the shallow water and he was coughing. *In the arcade, a number of games didn't work and we lost our coins to them *There was a beautiful nature spot nearby (Ein Bokek) but only ONE staff member knew of it and knew where it's located! And his explanation of how to arrive was a bit vague...we found it, though...it was a highlight of our stay.
We liked discovering lazer tag and a 7-D movie and arcade...my children really liked that. We liked the easy access to the Dead Sea beach also. We were especially impressed by the gift bag and the surprise of a food/fruit platter delivered to our room at the exact moment when my children were hungry (in the hours between lunch and dinner) *Ein Bokek, a beautiful nature spot, nearby...but see the negative comment in the next section

IsraelWe were able to hear every noise and conversation from the room next door. The air conditioning was not strong enough. Bad Smell around pool area. We would have appreciated more variety for breakfast.
The hotel is very kid friendly with lots of activities for the whole family. Hotel has a huge pool with access to its own private beach. My kids loved the waterslides. I probably wouldn't go here for a romantic getaway, but great for families with young children.

CanadaThe pool opens at 11 and closes at 6. The food was okay. They need renovations, the door to my balcony was open when we checked in, so the room was very hot. To close that door you had to slam it because it was broken , and it didn't close until the end, so hot air was constantly getting in.
The staff, beach and the pool were great. The location is amazing. My favorite was shlomit she was so nice, checked on us every day, made sure we are having a good time. Even gave us some little gifts because we celebrated our birthdays there.

Israel- Beach cleanness very bad. Bad smell when out of the pool to the direction of the dead sea. - A lot of waste food from guest, something unbelievable. But when I asked the manager to put at least some advise asking people to get only what they eat, the answer was: "there's nothing I can do" - Big problem at hotel check-in. Reservation under my son (not Israeli) had to pay taxes because we were miss informed by phone there wasn't a problem. This is just unacceptable. Talked with manager that didn't want to honor the word from the employee gave me by phone.
