Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThere was nothing about hotel Hillel 11 that we did not like. The only issue i had was not with Hillel 11 but with Bookings. Com who did not reply to numerous messages re the price. and in the end the two nights at Hillel 11 cost us a lot more than we had expected as the hotel were unable to meet my requests . My original booking for one night was an acceptable amount but when i changed the booking it to stay over 2 nights bookings . Com charged 3 x the amount and failed to reply to my queries. Even on the bookings . Com website, the amount quoted was considerably less than we were charged. As the booking was through bookings . Com the hotel were honourable to them and had to charge us that amount. Beware getting into such situations
The property was very comfortable , the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and honourable A lovely , very central place to stay over in Jerusalem

IsraelThis is not the first time I have had problems with the TV. Also the shower door needs attention and for some reason got four lotions and no body wash
I always like staying at Hillel 11 when I am in Jerusalem. Very close to center yet not the main street, its a great value. Front desk is as always helpful. Mohamed Zahde gave me a great welcome. Its clean, a/c close to Ben Yehuda at a price that can't be beat!

United KingdomThe balcony, the safe was a bit broken, the room phono wasn’t working.
The location is good, and the place was fairly clean, the balcony a little aged as well as the hotel, however if your just staying for visiting Jerusalem and go on tours then is ok, there aren’t many facilities in the hotel as such. So the location was good and thought there was some issues with our room, those got sorted and Tamara was very nice and sweet receptionist who gave as a lot of information and made us feel comfortable.

United States of AmericaThere is no Airconditioning or fan in the bedroom so it got very hot during the night. The Airconditioning in the rest of the room worked well but it sprayed dirt everywhere and the floor was black in the morning.
The location is excellent and the staff are really helpful.

DenmarkI had expected it to be cleaner / less dusty. And the manager hammered on my door before 10 oclock in the morning and told me to open. (My checkout was 11). I wasnt dressed so it took me 30 seconds, but by then he had alteady locked himself in, and told me with a loud voice to leave. He had mistaken what floor he was on so he was at the wrong place. Its not OK at all that you just walk in like that with a rude tone.
It is very central, the place had all the facilities I expected. The receptionists were very helpful and informative.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like that it felt comfty and cozy but it felt really dirty. It seem like they just clean what they see but not deep clean. There was always this strong scent of refresher that I believed they used to cover a unpleasant scent that came from the lack of cleanliness. We stayed two weeks almost and they didn’t change our bed sheets at all.
I liked the location of the hotel. And how nice and cozy it felt walking in after a long flight. The staff was really nice. The male front desk staff even put Spanish music when he saw a lot of Spanish speakers checking in which I thought was very thoughtful. He was sooo happy and chatty with us throughout our stay!

United KingdomThe rooms are quite shabby & redecoration well over due. Same for the actual building that the hotel is in, but to be fair that’s not unusual for Jerusalem.
