We liked it. Its much bigger than a hotel and gave us room to spread out for a night while we visited Eilat. Food was very good as well and we took a dip in the pool which was nice.

the apartment needs to be renovated, plenty of small disadvantages, but none of them could spoil the stay

Good location, beautiful surroundings, a lot of trees, bushes and flowers. Friendly stuff and inhabitants. Very good breakfast.

The hideous sunrise hotel next door with loud music playing all the time around the pool which country lodge guests use. No bus service or even shuttle service into Elat . Have to pay 30 shekels each way for a taxi into Elat.

The kibbutz still operates as a true kibbutz with kibbutzniks living there. This creates a very pleasant atmosphere. Quiet. No cars within the kibbutz makes a lovely environment, especially for the children.

    Nothing around but lovely grounds

Didn’t need a/c. Not much insulation between rooms. I think this is great for children. The Shabbat dinner was in a huge room with long wood tables. Family style massive selection bouffet .&

No public transportation, a taxi (quite cheap - 20-30 NIS to the city) or a rented car is needed.

Very friendly staff, beautiful setting in the middle of the desert just outside the city. Flowers, palm trees. Safe environment without cars, several playgrounds with sand, free hammocks in the gardens. The restaurant within the kibbutz provides breakfast, lunch and there's a food market every friday morning. The food is excellent, typical Israeli cuisine, lots of salads, meat (we counted 22 kinds of meat and many more salads!). Charged on a per-person basis (all you can eat). There's a mini convenience store in the kibbutz as well. Direct shuttle from the Ovda airport is available (https://eilatshuttle.com) In Eilat it the sea attractions are worth visiting (doplhins, underwater observatory with corals, sharks), but also the desert park Timna located a few dozen km to the north is great.

The room we had was nice and big and really comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kibbutz Eilot and look forward to coming back next September.

A simple but clean and comfortable room. Only a couple of minutes from Eilat. On Friday evening we got a complimentary shabbat dinner. On Saturday morning instead of breakfast at the restaurant we got huge boxes full of diary products

My daughter's room had a heater that she couldn't control the temperature and it was too hot on Friday night.

The kibbutz is so close to Eilat so it was easy to go to the aquarium, a climbing park and some tasty kosher restaurants in Eilat. Then on Shabat we relaxed at the kibbutz and it was quiet and spacious for our 9 year old grandson to roam around. The room included a dinet table and we had room for our traditional jigsaw puzzle, We enjoyed the Friday night dinner.

    1) A lot of noisy children. 2) I asked for four single beds and got two double instead. I had to argue to get what I needed. 3) No soap in the shower, three cups for four people in the kitchen, microwave is available, but it can not reach the electric supplier. 4) A lot of cats.bring a lot of dead birds to the swimming pool, and a lot of flies everywhere as a result. Nobody cleans the grass around the swimming pool. 5) The grocery store is open 3 to 4 hours a day and does not accept credit cards.

Location is more or less good, even you need a car or to wait for the bus. It's about five kilometers from the nearest beach.

Overall it is a really nice place, just needs a few more basic essentials, like a few more kitchen utensils, hand soap in the bathroom and more towels over the weekend. (as reception is closed)

Good for families, looking for an alternative from the big hotels in Eilat. Fun for young children, plenty of open spaces and play areas. It is basic accommodation so not for those looking for five star luxury. Peaceful surroundings and friendly staff. Great location for touring the area. Short drive to the centre of Eilat.
