Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe staff is friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained by housekeeping, and I slept easily in the comfortable bed. The shower had strong water. The included buffet breakfast had plenty of choices, including a lot of fresh vegetables, shakshuka, a variety of breads, eggs made to order, and a cappucino/espresso machine -- all very tasty. I was leaving very early many mornings, before breakfast, to volunteer on farms, and they made me a bag with 2 sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, and water, for no cost. The hotel is located one block from the beautiful Tel Aviv beach, and has a rooftop with lots of seating and a fabulous view. And it is not expensive.

CanadaNothing!! All was GREAT!!
The Maxim is my Go-To-Place whenever I visit Tel Aviv! This is probably my fifth time here and I'm sure there will be more! From the great location, the comfortable rooms, the fantastic breakfast, this place is, for the price, exceptional! But what really makes Maxim stand out, is its Staff. The Manager, Said and the front desk receptionists, Rotem and Sveta, are always helpful, caring and professional. The Kitchen and breakfast area, with the help of Mila and Rashel, was always clean, the food fresh and plentiful. Can't forget to thank Chef Sergie. All this and they were ALWAYS smiling and courteous!!

We always stay here since we discovered this beautiful pleasant hotel a few years ago. They have a superb location, the staff is always extremily helpful and pleasant, the breakfast is good and there is always coffee and tea. We were leaving on October 7, 2023, when the war broke out. We could stay the night and longer if needed. The staff tried to comfort us all when we had to go to the bombshelters 5x as the rockets few into Tel Aviv. They stayed calm and helpful. The manager was very thoughtful and caring. So next time we go back here again.... but the future is so unsure with all going on..... it is very bad. We went to the airport without tickets on Sunday October 8, and we could come back if we couldn't get a plane out. That nearly happened but we were able to fly out, by a miracle! This hotel is for us the best!!!! (And we always anywhere else go to hotels with 4 or 5 stars... but in Tel Aviv: nothing better than Maxim!!! It is the staff!

HungaryIt is my favorite place to stay in Tel Aviv Hotel has a perfect location and an amazing view from the top to the beach and the sunset. Many restaurants in the area. The beach is close 3-5minutes away. Unfortunately, due to Covid, I was unable to visit for five years, but the staff welcomed me as an old friend because they recognized me. This was a very good feeling for me. The breakfast is very delicious and gives you a good start for your day Rooms are clean and I like the design. I have to go back soon

United KingdomThe lift - I’m sure you’ve heard it before- two really tiny lifts , and one of them broke while the manager was in it which was a bit awkward for him. Feels like one larger lift would make things better for all, that’s literally the only reason we gave nine rather than ten for the score…
Location was fantastic, breakfast was great and there was plenty of it. Happy hour was a brilliant extra bonus , housekeeping was exceptional, roof terrace was fab.

CanadaWe were upgraded to a room that faced HaYarkon Street, which was a busy street, even later at night. The trade-off was that we had a beautiful view of the beach and water. The sound from the street penetrated into the room, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider a room that does not face the street (you can go up to the rooftop terrace to look at the water).
The hotel is EXCELLENT. It is about a 5-minute walk to the beach and about a 15-minute walk to Dizengoff Street (tons of restaurants and shopping). The hotel is clean, the breakfast is very good (there is not a large selection, but it is more than enough, and the quality is very good), there is a nice rooftop terrace with a terrific view of the water (there is not much shade in the afternoon as the sun is directly in front of you. However, there is a back portion to the rooftop terrace, where it is shady, but the view is of the city, not the water), and there is a happy hour with wine from 18:00 to 19:00. The staff are friendly, the rooms are cozy (the rooms are small, and the bathroom was small but apart from sleeping, we were not in the room so it was not a big deal) and I would highly recommend staying here.
