Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed and especially the mattress felt really uncomfortable
I loved the location being close to a view of mountains all the time and the fact that there were not so much people around us

Not a negative, but a helpful reminder: Remember to give phone number of each car driver when booking - barrier works on phone number registration with an automatic service. I forgot to give his phone number, and as he had his own car, he often struggled to get into the correct parking area
Very friendly team Many natives also using for holidays is a great sign Not far from Jerusalem Play areas and pool were very helpful for the kids Amazing views at night of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Small bbq facilities for each unit Nice picnic bench areas for gatherings, although are quickly full if your stay overlaps with festivals and national holidays

The bed, and cleaning quality, also there were spiders in my room and the fact the reception said we can stay a little longer and after 10 minutes kicked us out, it was a little rude..

We were supplied with a microwave but not a single plate, knife or fork. The rooms were box like with televisions in both rooms but felt quite bare.
It was really convenient for visiting my sister who lives nearby. The bed was comfortable

We had a lovely little cottage with a patio. It over looked the whole valley and the view was truly beautiful. The location is in the country and it was wonderful waking up to the sounds of birds singing

Convenient location
Good location with easy access to Rt 1 and 20-25 minutes to the center of Jerusalem. Comfortable facility and perfect for one night. Shoresh provides a list of things tio see in the area and both kosher and non--kosher restaurants.

I didn't know I had to order breakfast separately and when I was called to do phone check-in, the staff member didn't ask me if we would want breakfast. I was quite upset we had to go off- site to get something to eat, or starve.

The lack of basic things like plates, forks,knives etc
Great location, amazing view during the day and the night. Very cozy and confitable. 15 min from Jerusalem and 40 from tel aviv so definitely good location.

WiFi was weak
the location is perfect for those who don't want to be inside the city, Jerusalem. less traffic, still just 20 min away from the city.

The room was small. The bed linen and towels were not very clean . The kitchenette had nothing… no milk, no plates or cutlery. The apartment wasn’t very clean. It had spider webs and dust

There were no basic facilities in the kitchenette such as plates and cutlery - this was not made clear in the advertising. It was also not clear that there was no restaurant in the 'hotel' and that breakfast was delivered to your unit. The rooms were not big enough to be comfortable when two children were sleeping on the sofa beds.
The grounds are nice and well kept. The pool was lovely, and the cleaning staff were helpful. The air conditioning in the rooms was efficient.

In general, poor facilities. There was no warm & rich breakfast as used in hotels (just a bag delivered in the room). The TV with poor choice of channels. WIFI not working properly, so we couldn't use the laptop to watch netflix or youtube as internet signal was disconnecting frequently.
The views and environment are very nice. Location nice for walking around and in the nature.
