Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Budget friendly and comfortable hotel 5 minutes walk from the Old City. Clean hotel and good breakfast spread. The hotel allowed for an early check in and prepared a breakfast box as we needed to check out at 5:30am. We were really thankful for them going the extra mile.

CanadaCarpet in the room was really old. It makes the room look dirty, although the staff cleans it regularly and do their best. If they were to change it to laminate flooring it would freshen the room and add to a better experience. And for those with allergies, it would reduce the dust that stays in carpets. But I must make it clear, they keep the place clean and organized. Not much you can do to the carpet except change it.
Staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was also very nice and professionally served. Location was nice and as described. Place is old, but maintained and spacious. Would definetly visit again.

United KingdomSadly the neighbourhood is falling apart. Taxis from airport don't enter there. Looks safe but not nice. Hotel is falling apart as well. Depressive dark room. You get what you pay practically. Don't expect any luxury or high standard there. No cover change in 5 days but at least room was cleaned every day. Sockets far away from bed and only 2 Noisy neighbours. Bad noise isolation
Amazing reception. All of them were really helpful and kind. I felt welcome there. Very good breakfast included. Practically around the corner of old city Low budget hotel. Really appreciate that because Jerusalem is really expensive Quiet street, no noise from outside.

United States of AmericaNot really a major complaint but something to note - the showers are quite small and water escapes easily- best not to have anything on the floor of the bathroom etc. (at least where I was)
Really recommend this place. The staff helped as soon as I got there and lent me cash to pay the taxi driver. Breakfast was good, consisting of eggs, pastries, and a variety of other foods. The location is quite good, with most major religious sights being within a 20 minute walking distance.

I stayed with my family. So many things we liked. We enjoyed a comfortable rooms, very nice and delicious breakfast, location which is 12-15 minutes proximity to holy places (Dome of Rock, Al-Aqsa mosque, Western wall etc.). Hotel staff, dear Anwar, Muhammad and Maan are very kind, cordial and hospitable, who make you feel at your home, as if you are staying there for years. Hotel employees, like Ms. Raana is very punctual for providing good service. The hotel has a restaurant in which you can have tasty lunch, and in hotel’s buffet a tasty dinner. You can get cups of tea and cold water free of charge anytime you wish. We are very satisfied with this hotel, which adds good memories of the city. I highly recommend this hotel for being able to feel purity of Holy city here.

United States of AmericaIn our room, the bathtub was small and a little strange - unlike anything I had seen before. I'm not sure how it was supposed to be used, but standing and trying to take a shower in it was uncomfortable as there were no hand-holds.
We were unhappy with the first room we were given, but a staff member, Anwar, found us a different room which worked much better. We were located a short distance from the wall around Old Jerusalem, and from the Garden Tomb, both places we were anxious to visit.

Victoria Hotel is within easy access of many local shops and restaurants. Room service was great, everyday the rooms were cleaned, beds made and fresh towels and toiletries were left. The hotel provided a large selection for breakfast of fresh fruit, salads, cold meat slices and a variety of cheeses, eggs, dried fruit, cereals, fresh juice, tea and coffee. Complimentary tea, coffee and water was available throughout the day, which was much appreciated. All the staff were very kind, helpful and gave information on tours and how to get around the area. Especially Anita was very helpful, she booked a couple of tours for us. The hotel is about 10-15 walk to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. All other famous land marks are within walking distance.
