Had a great stay at the dormitory in Gokarna! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Definitely recommend for budget travelers looking for a peaceful stay.

The room didn’t have mosquito net, the structure of our room is a bit old and broken but the room it self is in good conditions

Everything was good, except the photos on booking.com do not represent the location well. It looks more nice than shown.

We stayed there for 4 nights. Kushal helped with everything we could think of. The property itself is located on the hill and has therefore no direct access to the beach. But it is really calm and generally a beautiful place to relax and plan trips to explore the area.

I didn't expect the washroom to be a common washroom for my individual room taken. But, the host said it was due to old style concept but still the common WASHROOM could be a lot better, I give it 2.5 to 3, they should really look into it

Nothing just be prepared to face the heartbreak while leaving the property

If you want to experience the real hostel vibes then no can match the experience one can get from Aangan. The hosts, the rooms, the ambience, the food (especially egg & Kara podi dosa), the energy and the location everything stands top and as a solo traveller, I would highly recommend Aangan and no other property in gokarna. I went for a day and extended for a week!

I would love for a clearer path at the back that opens up into a trail to Jatayu Teerth for sunset point behind. There is one aggressive dog that gets agitated seeing the neighbouring dog, but it doesn't bother the customers.

I love that in the line of dorm stays and rooms in the same street, aangan maintains a peaceful and calm vibe suited to what i'm looking for in the ambience. You could sit here for hours with a book and listen to the birds. I would highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the busy cafes with loud music. The temperature is also much cooler compared to other places where the open beach wind and sun heats up the space usually.
