I had originally booked Bunk Yard for just one night… but ended up staying 4 more days. That should tell you something! The place might not be the most luxurious, but it has soul — and the kind of vibe that keeps you hooked. One of the absolute highlights? The rooftop. I’m not kidding — the sunsets and sunrises from up there are hands down the best in Udaipur. The view is unreal, and you’ll find yourself going up there again and again, whether it’s for a chill chai session or to just breathe it all in. And major props to the co-owner Francisco — bro, you’re the best! Super chill, great energy, and always down for a smoke and a chat. Honestly, he made the place feel less like a hostel and more like a hangout with old friends. Also, gotta give credit where it’s due — the toilets and washrooms were really clean and well-maintained, which is always a big plus when you’re on the road. Overall? Bunk Yard is not just a place to sleep — it’s a place to vibe. I’ll be back.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

It was an exhilarating experience staying at Bunkyard. I was there for a short trip but left with an ample of experiences and memories that I have never come accross in Udaipur. The Manager was super welcoming and hospitable. Bunkyard has got most things right, making it a joyous time for an experiential and social traveler like me. The location is impeccable and the lake views from each floor are simply hard to pen down. Bunkyard plans the day perfectly well along with cool fellow travelers and I didn't have to put my time into planning things to do through the entire day. I will remember this experience for a lifetime. Thank you guys

Relaxing Atmosphere and Friendly Staff The atmosphere here was so calm and relaxing. I loved sitting on the rooftop terrace, enjoying the lake view with a cup of chai. The staff was friendly and always eager to help.

Amazing rooftop cafe in this property rooms were so comfortable. I really like my stay here as I come for work and Wi-Fi speed is amazing. All the rooms are comfortable with a great view of league. Not a dislike, but more hopefully constructive comments, the lack of signage made the hostel tricky to find. Both mornings we were unable to have breakfast on the rooftop, one morning due to the food delivery not arriving yet and the other because the chef didn’t start till 11. Not a problem for us as we were happy to wonder and find elsewhere, just a shame as the roof is so lush it would have been great to enjoy it there.

The property was great location and the staff were so friendly and helpful with advising on our itinerary’s and offering activities to do through the hostel. The rooftop was amazing - we went to a few others in our time in the city and this one was definitely the best in terms of view and sunset! Really cool vibe in the hostel and great rooms and bathrooms.

It was hard to find the place because GMaps does not recognise the small streets around it, so it cannot suggest any directions. For this reason, some signs on the street would be useful. But once you're there, you have arrived in heaven.

This place is AMAZING. The cleanest place I have found in India so far, staff is super nice and friendly, the terrace is undescribable, you have a 360 degrees view of the city. Udaipur also has a really cool and chilled vibe. I booked an extra night with them and was seriously considering staying longer, but I am on a tight schedule. But I will DEFINITELY come back here, best experience I had in India.

The bunkyard hostel is really amazing! I stayed here for 3 weeks and I really enjoyed my time so much! The vibe in the hostel is super social and it feels like one big family. The hostel has an extremely beautiful roofterrace with the best view on the city! I can highly recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at the bunkyard hostel. It's well located to see the main sites in udaipur from walking distance but also a bit hidden so you are in a more quiet place. This is a place to chill and relax, they have a really nice rooftop! But they also arrange a lot of fun activities to do in the area. We would totally recommend this place when you visit Udaipur!

Best place to stay. Hostel organizes amazing trip to bahubali hills. Best place to meet people from all part of the world. The host organizes various activities. They have cafe at rooftop which is highest in udaipur and give a scenic view of the city. Service and staff are amazing.

The hostel has an amazing rooftop (highest I. Udaipur) with a restaurant/bar. The food there was delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms were well equipped with a shower (hot water) and working ac. Mattresses are a bit thin for me but that’s just personal preference. All in all a great and very sociable hostel. The staff does everything to make your stay great. I can highly recommend the hostel and their staff!

The staff were really helpful and warm to us. They provided information about traveling in India and get us more prepared for the upcoming journey. One of the volunteer named Pranjali even used her own APP account to help us bought the bus tickets, you don’t see that in any other hostel. Over all, it was one of the best hostel I ever stayed, I miss the people we met there.
