There could have been an LCD TV. It would have made stay better.

I was travelling for work and stayed at this property for one day with my colleague. We both simply loved how grand a colonial bungalow it is, the manner it is maintained with and how it feels. The breakfast was sumptuous and I've never had a more authentic home cooked South Indian food than that. The hosts are exceptionally good people and I mean it. Would definitely love to visit again.

Privacy - No curtains on bedroom windows, only netting. Birds in cages in the garden which we find cruel.

Excellent, generous breakfast. Spacious terrace area. Cool vintage style decor. Luscious, shady garden area. Free water refills. Good WiFi connection. Friendly staff. Helpful restaurant recommendations and SIM card recommendations.

The shower involved a cool shower with a hot tap and bucket - this was pretty standard for everywhere we stayed outside of luxury hotel level places. I don't see it as a negative but I mention it only as some visitors might.

Arriving here felt immediately like being welcomed into a family. The house and the small gardens were like a secret world hidden behind the busy streets. Staff are incredibly friendly, very helpful and speak good English.

I stayed at Ashley and Sheeba's homestay with my two daughters and we loved the place. Really well located and the hosts make everything to make you comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our nice breakfast on the rooftop. Really recommand this place to visit Kochi, easy to walk to Fort Kochi. Ashley gave me all necessary infos to make the most of our stay. Also the garden is really enjoyable Thanks !

We immediately felt at home at Green Woods Bethlehem. Sheeba and Ashley gave us a warm welcome. Their helpfulness, as well as that of the small team, was exceptional. The rooms are simple but functional. We loved the large roof terrace, surrounded by trees, lots of plants, the exotic birdsong all around (and a few crows). The cooked breakfast was very nutritious, varied and tasty. We also ate a delicious lunch twice. From the homestay you can reach the desired location quickly on foot, but especially by tuktuk. In any case, it is also good value for money.

The room was a little cramped but lots of other areas we could use.

Green Woods Bethlehem is in a handy location within easy walking distance of Fort Kochi and many sites. The hosts, Sheeba and Ashley are very friendly and hospitable - they made us feel like part of their family. They also helped us book railway tickets through their Railway ticket agent and arranged transport to and from the airport for us - they went above and beyond what we expected of them. The accommodation is surrounded by greenery and has a lovely sense of quiet after the busy streets of Fort Kochi. Very simple and tasty breakfast served in the roofed, open-air top floor.

There is no hot water in the small house in the garden but the lady can provide hot water in the bucket. It was also very hot so it wasn't a big problem to have colder water for washing.

It is a house with a very nice garden.. location is very good and the owners are very friendly.. I can recommend this place 😃 for sure. Nice dining room with buffet breakfast.

Staying at this lovely homestay was a wonderful experience! The hosts were warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was simple but clean, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious—prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Its convenient location made exploring easy, yet it remained a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend this homestay for its exceptional hospitality and charm.

The property is a bit run-down. There was black mould on my towels. But for me, the main problem was the location. It’s a bit far to comfortably walk to the sights, shops and restaurants of Fort Kochi.

It has a lovely green garden and the location is very quiet. The hosts are helpful and the breakfast is good.

Ashley and Shiva are lovely hosts who will give you a warm welcome and make sure you have everything you need and beyond to feel at home. We loved the breakfast - a selection of home-cooked Indian food at a fair price. There 's a huge covered roof terrace, loads of plants everywhere, a garden, and the place is tucked away from the main streets which makes it very quiet and peaceful.

For that price we couldnt really expect more. But somehow we expected more due to high ratings and good reviews. We also think they were a little busy with expanding family. Congrats!

Very friendy staff. We had problems with several ATM:s and needed to borrow R500 rupies to pay our driver. Very green garden in a nice area of Fort Kochi. Really chaep place.

    Nothing.

The hosts are absolutely wonderful - so welcoming, helpful, and kind. They talked us through a map of the city on the first day and helped us organise a boat-trip around the famous backwaters for our second day. They were also very helpful the day we left, by night train, letting us keep one of the rooms for the entire day without extra cost. The property is beautiful, in a quiet location with a beautiful garden and rooftop terrace. The rooms are simple and a bit damp; one of ours smelled a bit of mould, but I suppose that is difficult to avoid in a place as humid as this. The ceiling fans really helped, and we appreciated the mosquito nets around the beds. Breakfast was a highlight: gorgeous home-cooked Indian food. (The children would have liked a Western option, but there was toast and fruit for them.)

Located a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute auto into town, was only a problem in the March/April heat and humidity. Facilities were basic but all you need.

Beautiful setting amongst lots of trees and plants. Lovely rooftop setting for breakfast, which was home cooked with love! The hosts were super lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

The mattress might have done it’s job and should be replaced by a thicker and softer one.

The host-couple was very welcoming and offered tea when we arrived and was always there to have a good chat or answer questions. The apartment is located in a very calm area and is surrounded by trees. It is close to many tourist attractions (if beeded). The banana pancakes for breakfast were fantastic as well!

Make sure you book a room with AC because Cochi is hot and humid! We booked a ground floor room which was a bit dark. It could use a deep clean.

Very friendly hosts, lots of info on what to do nearby and a little bit further away, great location! Very near to all the sights on the peninsula but quiet and green!
