IndiaI have been to at least 8 different lemon trees in 5 cities and I have always enjoyed the warm and friendly staff at the lobby and reception. However this lemon tree was severely lacking that warm and welcoming feeling. There were just a couple of people who were very nice and sweet in the lobby. The hotel lacked the friendly warm staff. I flew in to Delhi from Mumbai with an elderly lady who has been my friend for 8 years. As she had a lot of luggage and was going to be over her checked bag limit i had packed some of her stuff in my checked bag. Hence we decided that once we check into the hotel we can go to the room and she can take her stuff from my bag and then she can go home. When we checked in I clearly told the receptionist that i am staying alone. I then went on to explain that as we (my fiend and I) travelled together there is some of her stuff in my bag so we will just go up to the room sort things out and then she will go home. To this the man adamantly and very rudely said "No sir , madam cannot go to the room she has to stay down here only." Now i am aware that many hotels have rules about guest in terms of you have to sign them in. This is for your, others at the hotels safety and the safety of the guest. However, the way in which the person behaved was mean, demeaning and outright rude. It was only after i clarified three times and said she is not staying and if she has to sign in or something like that we ok with signing in, that he said ok . Even then the way he said ok sir but i need madams Aadhaar and details was not polite and borderline rude and demanding. Now dont get me wrong i am not upset about him asking me to register a guest. It is the way he spoke that got me upset. In fact, I have had a similar thing in Lemon tree mumbai and the gentleman was so sweet . He very politely said something like well sir we have no problems you having guest but your guest has to sign into the guest register along with photo id.
The breakfast is filling and tasty. The room was clean and nice. The bed was comfy and warm. The bathroom was clean. They provided a wide variety of tea bags to choose from. The room was spacious. I enjoyed the bathroom. It was very relaxing to stay in the hotel. As with my many previous stays in other Lemon tree hotels around India., i really enjoyed the stay. The house keeping staff are very nice and they respond to you very quickly if you want something like water, tea bags etc.

IndiaRooms are old - whitewash needs to be redone - water seepage. Give you a very non 5 star feel and does not interest you to back back to the property again. It high time they upgraded the restaurant and the room facilities.
Location - Parking space - Next to the best party place in town. Plenty choices to eat outside. Convenient entry and exit. Quiet place.
