How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Verified reviewHad a great experience in Maa Ashapura Resort. I loved the ambience and the property as well. I enjoyed horse riding, and we also enjoyed the pool time. I visited Ranthambore fort as well where I felt delighted and I also experienced the Chambal River excursion which was arranged by Mr Vikram and all thanks to him for that.

Verified reviewA rustical place with an authentic atmosphere and delicious food from the own fields harvest. Nice pool to refresh between the safari tours. Perfectly located to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve Zones 1-5 where you will most likely be able to see Tigers on your game drives. Vikram the owner is a nice and sociable landlord always happy to assist.
It’s not the Taj but has all you need in a calm and clean environment.

Verified reviewVery homely feel the property which included the wonderful staff, 2 lovely, docile and friendly alsatians and owner, Vikram. Great hospitality. Don’t be put off by the term farm-stay. There are horses next door and riding available but Maa Ashapura is group of buildings in an open, green space. Room was very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. The home cooked food was delicious and plentiful. Resident wildlife and tiger expert, Robin is very knowledgable and had we known beforehand we would have booked for private safari for Ranthambhore with him (6 months notice needed). We did go a short nature walk with Robin one evening which was very interesting and not at all strenuous.
Our room safe wasn’t fixed to anything.

Verified reviewMaa Ashapura is a wonderful calming farm stay and the owner is very welcoming. The food at the property was an unexpected highlight for us - really amazing, fresh food. The breakfast is the best we have had in India and the evening curries are super tasty!
The WiFi did not reach our room which wasn’t a massive issue for us/ added to the relaxed vibes. The pool area could do with a little attention as it was a little tired.

Verified reviewIt’s picturesque with a pretty water lilly pond, resplendent sunflowers and the most gorgeous horses ever. The rooms are spacious and clean. Food is made fresh so needs to be ordered well in advance. The kids were content to spend their time plucking fresh fenugreek leaves from the vegetable garden and feeding them to the horses. The perfect place for connecting with nature!
The property could do with a few more hands on deck, especially on full occupancy days. The pool needs better maintenance. Don’t go there expecting luxury.

Verified reviewRooms were large. I had booked a suite - which turned out to be a big room and big bathroom. Bed was comfortable.
Not as spic and span clean as I would like, just tolerable. Lighting in the bathroom not enough. We were going on a few safaris during our stay and they had promised that all Gates were close by. They had promised that all the gates were close by! In fact, gates 1 and 3 were only about 2 kms away, and our first gate Gate 10 was over 17 kms away. The place is not geared for safari - they could provide no food before we left for the morning safari, (we ordered very expensive toasts with butter and had to leave before they were complete. We had paid additional to get the rooms with breakfast - if we had known that we could only eat breakfast after we returned from Safari at 10:45 AM, we would have preferred to have breakfast outside. The breakfast and all meals were pretty expensive in comparison to other similar establishments.

We booked Luxury Machan , The Machan was beautifully appointed with a cozy ambiance, stunning mountain views and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. We especially loved the delicious breakfast and dinner at restaurant .There Mr. Vikram arranged for us a horse safari and tiger safari where my daughter was very happy after seeing a animals and she enjoyed a lot there and my husband and I were super happy after seeing our daughter enjoying and horse riding . We can't wait to return for another special occasion with my husband and daughter. Lovely stay

We stayed in the cottage and it was just as the photos look on the site. It was a bit cold during our stay but they provided an extra blanket and heater. A nice and peaceful environment.

DO NOT BOOK THIS STAY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. The maximum value should be 30$ and even then it would be overpriced. I dont know where to start with everything that is wrong with this place. When you arrive at the reception you will feel like at the outskirts of the favelas in Rio. At the reception the most unpleasant guy in India will welcome you. Not a good start. Then they showed us the room. I was shocked. It was freshly painted so you can imagine how it smelled. And I m not even talking about the hygienic state of the bed. We immediately complained. Then they gave us another room at the same price range which was much better (still way overpriced though) I asked how come this room has the same price as the other. If it s much better. They said they did not want to mix us with indians cause they are loud. I was speechless. The room itself was dirty. The towels and bed sheets smelled as if they were never washed. The bathroom was dirty as well. The cherry on the top was when the next day they started to water with sewage water the garden behind. So we were literally smelling shot all over the place. For 70$ per night!!!!! We asked to cancel our next night and left immediately. They didnt want to refund the money. But we still left and found a much nicer place for the same amount and closer to the safari. Dont go there. Dont let your vacation be ruined by this horrible nightmare experience.

The location on booking.com was not accurate. The location was further on the road (follow google maps). If planning tours/taxis then this wouldn't be an issue.

Verified reviewFrom start to finish the staff went out of their way to make our stay the highlight of our India trip! The room was so dreamy, beautiful decor, really comfortable bed & lovely veranda to sit out on. The chef was incredible - so passionate about cooking, he would come out personally to check what we’d like and to see how we found it, clearly really happy when we’d enjoyed every morsel + extras he’d given us. There was a surprise cultural night where there was traditional dancing & music from Rajathan on drums around the fire pit which was super fun! Breakfast was served by the pool, with a variety of different dishes each day. The staff let us say hi to the horses, giving us jaggery to feed them. We had beer delivered to our veranda for our evening game of cards. It took about 15 mins to get to our safari pick up point in the morning which wasn’t an issue, but I think they can organise a safari straight from here, we’d just already prearranged ours with another company. The manager was lovely and would check in on how we were finding everything, his English was good and he couldn’t have been more accommodating! We absolutely LOVED our stay, the best food we’ve eaten in India with amazing service and personal touches. We didn’t want to leave!
