We stayed for 2 nights in the most amazing homestay.Warm and friendly host , big room in the big house,comfortable bed, delicious home made food ( charged extra),good working A/C, decent WiFi,very quiet. There's a river one can swim in and tarmacked road for a walks.

It’s a beautiful home located in a quiet village not far from Munnar. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, with enough privacy for every guest. But the surplus of this Homestay are the owners. Shijo and Susan were amazing hosts. They helped us with everything we needed, from Tuk Tuk tours, to hiking to arranging transportation for our next stop. We also had delicious breakfasts and dinners at the house. It’s a very friendly environment that also made us meet many interesting people from all over the world!

Everything was perfect

Our stay in Munnar Village Homes was a the best. A charming house, spacious clean rooms with a balcony to a beautiful garden full of spices like Moringa, Pepper, nutmeg, cardamon and more. The landlord is a sweet woman who welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel comfortable. And lovely Shijo who was our host is an exceptional person. He did everything so that we will have the best vacation. He arranged us Taxis for day excursions, arranged us delicious meals and recommended places to see. We had very interesting conversations with Shijo about India and it made our stay enjoyable and interesting. We can't wait to come back ! Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Such a beautiful stay with Shijo and Susan. The place has everything you need, and it is located in a beautiful small village by a river (where you can swim). I'll always remember my stay - can't recommend it enough!

We loved our stay with Shijo and Suzanne. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including hot water! The area is calm and we had some good sleep there. Meals prepare by hosts every morning and evening were super yummy. Highly recommend!

Location was great.. surrounded by trees, forest like atmosphere but safe.. hosts are great people.. they even took care of my baby while I was eating.. order your food there itself,becoz hotels around aren't that great. Felt like a good relative's home..

The bed is for only two adult. If you have a child, a bit challenging for sleeping all together.

We had a wonderful stay with our hosts Shijo and Susan. Their house is located 1 km from the main road to Munnar (45 min to Munnar), in a quiet and beautiful, green street. Breakfast and dinner was served to us daily, which was deliciously prepared by Susan. After a disappointing tour at a touristic spice farm next to the main road, Shijo took us around the neighbourhood and the river for an actual tour. As he grew up there, he knows every tree, plant, animal and neighbour. It doesn’t get more authentic than this! We can definitely recommend this homestay.

First of all we all felt like at home from the very first moment. The hosts are the most heartwarming people you can imagine. We had plenty of nice discussions, home cooked meal and various tips for sightseeing. The beautiful house is further from touristic places but totally worth it, the views are spectacular and birds are chirping all day long. Also nice area to walk around. The hosts arranged us a driver so distance wasn’t a problem at all.

Having to leave!!

The location was perfect, quiet and picturesque. The accommodation was superb, immaculate and very comfortable, soft bed and clean linen. Home cooked food was wonderful. Susan (owner and host) was so welcoming and Shijo (manager and host) was helpful, welcoming and made our stay simply perfect, both very lovely people. Would definitely stay here again.

Only con was lunch/dinner is not available at homestay,and only one restaurant delivers food here. Hopefully in future they may start providing home cooked food.

To begin with, Shijo bhai is amazing person, soft spoken, super friendly and always ready to help. Room was good. Location wise bit far from munnar city but really beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended
