the rooms, the sheets the towels, could be cleaner the room was dark, but if you just go there to sleep that good enough, if you plan to spend some time in the hotel I would recommend a better place. For the price is great.

The staff was really nice and helpful, the pice is also very cheap.

Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7.30am but most days it wasn't. However it was nice when we got it Our program started at 8 am or even 7.45 am so late breakfast was a problem.

simple but staff were accommodating. Shower didn't work but I used the pail. Water was hot so that was ok Floor was quite dirty on my first night

I was visiting my parents in Kolkata and our house was filled with guests and other family so I decided to book a room at Roland which is close to my parent's apartment. I found Roland Hotel good value for my money. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the shower had great water pressure. The Wifi wasn't working the weekend I stayed which was unfortunate as I had network issues on my phone within the hotel. The TV was a smart TV with a cable box hooked up so that is great (especially when the Wifi works). The breakfast was tasty and the spread was basic which makes sense for the price point. The location is actually pretty great for anyone who finds Park Street or Park Street adjacent hotels overpriced. The staff was supportive. Overall, I am happy to find a hotel that I could house some of my guests in when my Kolkata home fills up and feel safe that they would be comfortable in it.

Our specific room had a light outside, and no blackout curtains, so bring a sleep mask. It was our first time in India, so we also found out that traffic sounds don’t stop, so bring earplugs too.

It had a good location for exploring Kolkata, was a good mid-budget hotel. We stayed in emerald suites, a separate complex from the main Roland hotel. The staff were kind enough to take care of our bags before checking in. It was also near a mart/convenience store, so it was easy to get groceries.

Pretty Nice Stay at Roland Hotel. The Room was Good enough size along with Bathroom and Wardrobe. They Have a Shower area in the washroom which is clean and they also have a Mini Bar Fridge in the Room which is filled with extra water and soft drinks to have at your discretion but they are payable. The Most Amazing part of the stay here was the included free breakfast which was Fabulous and Exactly the right amount of Items for a Travellers Moving Routine. Overall i would recommend this Hotel with a Rating of 4 out of 6 Stars

The complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel is purely nominal. It is highly recommended that the hotel management team pay a visit to the restaurant during breakfast hours. Regrettably, the plates are not adequately dried, resulting in them being left in a dripping wet state. Furthermore, the absence of paper napkins on the tables is quite conspicuous. It is disheartening to note that both the tables and the floor are not properly cleaned. Essentially, the restaurant staff appear to be lacking in competence and understanding of their assigned duties. This level of service can only be described as extremely subpar.

A very tired facility. A little grimy (though there are plenty worse in India). Water only lukewarm.

The rooms could have done with a bit of maintenance - there were calcium deposits on the tap and other fittings that made them look dirty; there were exposed wires in the bathroom

Excellent breakfast - liked the fact that the breakfast varied daily. Very courteous staff who promptly attended to any requests and sorted issues I had. The rooms were clean.
