nicely situated at a bit quieter side of Varkala beach. Main sights/town are walking distance away (10 mins or so) beach was relatively clean and there was someone available from whom you could rent a parasol, which was nice.

Room amenities could have been better, no TV, no restaurant and WiFi isn't very stable, but that being said, it was a comfortable stay.

There isn't a dine in restaurant, however can get it from nearby restaurants.

I liked everything. They should introduce more south indian food. Or a dedicated cook. Ola or Uber didn't work from that place better go for local auto or taxi for airport or railway station drop.

Near to the beach. Staffs are GOOD. Auto/car can come very easily for local tour. Nice garden. Edli was excellent. We extended our stay there. Anyone can visit the cliff by auto or by walking through the beach. After a tiring day, it's an appropriate place for relaxing. They have a nice garden. Online food APP or near by restaurant can serve food there.

Royal Kazbay Beach Resort is a great place to stay and we were offered one of their newer rooms which was great and looked much better than their existing rooms. The room and bathroom were very clean. We'd opted for the room without breakfast as there are plenty of options closeby. The property isn't exactly a resort but it touches Odayam beach and you can have a great time at the relatively isolated beach. The manager, Mr. Sajid was a wonderful host and helped us out with renting scooters and also arranged an auto for us. The property is located in an area with narrow roads so while smaller cars and scooters can reach the place, bigger cars will have a hard time getting to the property.

The resort is lovely and has a fabulous view. The rooms were huge, bed was comfortable, washroom was big and all amenities were provided. The room had a front porch/balcony also and the beach and sea were visible. The resort has a private entrance to the odayam beach which was wonderful. Breakfast was complimentary - not a full buffet style but freshly prepared and enough fulfilling options. We even got welcome drinks on arrival. Hospitality and staff behaviour was top notch. The host was very helpful. He arranged a scooty for us also for visiting the town. Varkala cliff and beach are just 10mins away. Since the resort is located on the beachside, the roads leading up to it are very narrow and a bit secluded. But there are many resorts on that road, so safety shouldn't be a problem.

Driving to the property can be difficult because of the narrow street. Not impossible just difficult if you are not an experienced and confident driver.

The staff was very helpful. The property did not charge us extra for late checkout. The beach in front of the resort was less crowded.

You’re near the beach and in nature so expect bugs, not a problem just to be aware. There’s lovely sounds to put you to sleep :)

Online directions / signage on the road would have been helpful for the driver to find the place. The last part of the trail leading to the hotel is extremely narrow. Once you know it, it's fine - just a bit daunting at first. There's a grassy area separating the hotel's property from the beach. It is probably not the hotel's property but the staff could still pick up some of the trash out there. It wouldn't be much to do but would make a huge difference. I found out at checkout that the hotel does not accept credit card payment. It would have been helpful to know this when booking or at least to be informed upon checking in so that I could make appropriate arrangements to get cash.

The location is excellent: just a few meters' walk to a very nice, fairly quiet sandy beach. The six spacious rooms have nice wooden terraces overlooking a small garden. Everything is clean and acceptably maintained. Good choices for the included breakfast. A big plus the excellent Blue Water restaurant for dinner just a few minutes' walk from Royal KazBay. The manager is very friendly and was extremely helpful in getting us train tickets.

Great location right by a more private beach, plus the room and balcony was lovely. Aircon and fan were great and the beds very comfortable. The host was very welcoming and accommodating, helping us sort laundry and travel arrangements.

Could be cleaner and more maintained. Parking is there 100 meter away and need to get the luggage from there although the staffs helps in it. Room could have a tv and water pressure needs a lot of improvement.

Location is amazing and rooms have good concept with a personal sitting area. A shower in open to wash away the beach sand.

While the team did inform us that the last 100mtr stretch to reach the resort is very narrow, be mindful that it actually is very narrow and driving a car through that might be tough

The facility is quite small then it looks in the photos and hardly 5 mins walk from the odayam beach. The manager was very courteous and I formed a couple of must-do activities during our stay. Staff was also very helpful.

Nothing to dislike

The location, as it’s about 50m away from the beach. Odayam beach was pretty empty and clean when we were there. The room was clean with a nice balcony. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was both plentiful and tasty. The manager of the property was also extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast portion was quite small. However we sometimes requested an extra serving and got this without any problem.
