Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

wifi wasn’t too good, had a habit of cutting in and out. Our room faces the Main Street so could be a bit noisy at times, especially at night with all the loud music playing from bars and restaurants. The bed was a bit hard and rooms a bit old, but reasonable for the price. a bit expensive, but we stayed near Christmas so the prices would be higher.
Good location within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. we loved the pool area, nice chairs to lounge on and the pool was clean too. Pool towels supplied which was handy. Staff we’re all very friendly and accomodating. They had an on-site restaurant where we could order meals all throughout the day.

Located above a very noisy street, some communication difficulties with staff, laundry service extortionate.
Room and washrooms sparkling clean, bed spacious and comfy, balcony was an added plus.

Live music every night till midnight or so, so you will hear it in your rooms with open balcony. But from midnight till 10-11am it’s quite well.
Nearby to the beach, huge supermarket, several restaurants and cafes, thus, location is good. Personal are very helpful, you can ask anything you need and they do or try to do everything to fulfill your needs. Live music every night - it was really interesting to watch Indian performers.

if Breakfast can be made available, since I stayed in standard room, not sure if breakfast is served for higher rooms.
My stay was at Room A-6 for 2nd and 3rd Oct-Quality of room, Food option at the restaurant itself and bar attached on that swimming pool is good. I stayed for 2 nights and it fared well for me and my family considering access to beach, market for shopping to karaoke nights in the same hotel to the lovely view from the balcony to world walking by. My Kids enjoyed the most of the hospitality, by staff(Dadoo, Debashish & Santosh at Bar). I also went to Vagator after booking a bike from the reception, however returned back to the same place on 5th again. So I recommend any day, Stop thinking and Start booking at Silversands anytime.

The pool area was dirty and not maintained. The filter in the pool was broken but was fixed after a day or two
The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Good location close to the beach and the resturants. Rooms were nice and comfy.

There was no toilet soap, shampoo and the restaurant was costly and quantity was very less.

The shower. Not enough hot water to complete a shower and the water pressure was so poor it took ages just to get wet. The pillows smelt of old sweat. The cleaning consisted of making the bed and changing the towels and emptying the bin.
