I don’t understand why they couldn’t return my holding deposit when I was leaving

I paid a holding deposit on my arrival and it hasn’t been returned to my account, I made 3phone calls and was promised a return call but didn’t get it

Rooms are small and a bit cramped - so very much over-priced for the high room rates we paid. The gym/fitness room is not fit for purpose and the area is badly in need of renovation.

Breakfast is not as good when compared to your immediate competitor i.e. JW Marriott, Chd. This aspect can be made better, esp the live counters.

The location is unmatched and the comfort of being there is as good as being at home. The staff is really balanced - neither too intruding nor too oblivious. The service levels are almost ubiquitous.

The carpet and the night lamp were dirty There was cigarette smoke smell in the washroom and entrance of the room during our stay for a few minutes even though the staff mentioned it was a non smoking floor There was a lot of noise during early hours like someone was moving furnitures and constant hammering noise during the day like there was construction going on next room

See above. I am not going to type again! A better breakfast selection for diabetics would be nice to have.

I do not like night lights. Did not know how to switch them off. I also do not like the TV and cable unit lights remaining on. I had to hang towels over them. The Chinese restaurant fare is good! Doorman Birendra Singh is to be complimented for spotting my glasses, left behind in the car. He said he always looks out for things left behind when he opens the car door. Give him a bonus!

Room size was small compared to other hotels in same class. Taj hotel is a little tired (eg gym equipment hold and decor old and dated which was not expected). Staff nice but dont always listen to what is being requested. Food quality esp the western food was disappointing compared to previous stays.

Staff helpful; rooms are clean; lobby is great; Cot bed was comfortable after 2nd mattress and the staff were helpful in providing another mattress. Range of foods for breakfast.

Tak name is a brand but after visiting Chandigarh property, it doesn’t even match Taj level, don’t know why the food, room , bed everything was not that comfortable and also on very first stay when I came there I already told them I can extend my room for one more day, and the ground staff told me one day prior inform us, I did informed them prior but the response was so shocking and kinda disrespectful also, so whosoever comes in your property at treat them as ATITHI DEVO BHAGVA, not like Mandy making machine.
