Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWhile the property is rather old, the room was clean, the bathroom was good size and linen was clean. Looking at the place, I believe it may be up for renovation, but it felt comfortable and clean. A few suggestions for the management. The bathroom door latch is rather odd. The tea facility could do with a simple coffee machine.

United StatesIt is old and things decays fast in the tropics. So in parts moldy and leaking. ACs often leak.
Location. At the edge of Lodhi Garden and Khan Market. In my judgment the best location among half a dozen of five and seven star hotels I have stayed in. It is an old property whose best feature is its low rise characteristic; embedded in the neighborhood. Unlike other more swanky hotels that look down upon the city.

United StatesThe control panel for the room lights was old and didn't work properly. Some of the furniture looked very old and faded.
Chose the hotel for the location. Stayed in a spacious room with a balcony. Enjoyed the old world charm.

IndiaAmenities could be better. The elevator is too small in size. Barely fits 3 persons. It would be better if the dinner is buffet system.
Breakfast had variety and tasty.

United KingdomAfter two weeks travelling around India we were unpleasantly surprised at the cost of dining in the hotel. It is essentially twice the price of any of the good hotels and restaurants we had previously stayed in, with no perceptible increase in quality - furthermore, whilst the outside dining was pleasant at lunchtime, the harsh lighting and uninspiring decor of the Yellow Brick Restaurant rendered the pricing totally inexplicable! We were also unimpressed with the bass boom from the DJ set whilst ‘enjoying’ and early evening drink in the bar.
Our room was spacious and the balcony at the front was lovely in the sunshine. Service was excellent and very helpful. We were unaware of Khan Market (short walk) but presume the higher room rate is due to the hotels proximity to this higher end ‘mall’ with western shops and a lively restaurant/bar scene.

United KingdomBreakfast room was quite small and relied upon the outside space to accommodate people if a lot turned up, though depending on time of year, you wouldn’t want to sit outside as too cold, so you had to time your breakfast to avoid the crowds or wait. One day we didn’t bother and went elsewhere.
Nice hotel in a convenient location for seeing the sights, rooms were big and nicely furnished and the bathroom was good, overall good place to stay.

United KingdomIt's nitpicking for such a great place, but the cushion covers in the breakfast room really need a clean.
Superb location, excellent size rooms, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, good to have a convenience store on site, strong wifi, nice bar, peaceful outside area. And an easy stroll to the excellent eating options in Khan market.

United StatesThe Ambassador, like many older hotels in India has a sewage drain venting issue. It’s barely noticeable, but there.
The premium rooms are a little distant from the elevators, but the ambience is worth it because there is none of the faint smell of sewage that is evident throughout the main section. Their Yellow Brick Road restaurant is in the odor-free wing and served us the best full English breakfast we have had during our month in India. Very walkable location for Lodi gardens and Museum of Modern Art. Also right next door to the Khan Market, with excellent cafes and restaurants/ shopping/ ATM.

It’s in great location, you will get that vibe of capital city. The property is also good, basically it’s an old building maintained well and added modern amenities.
