Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThis was my very first visit to Jaisalmer, and choosing to stay at Garh Meera turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was absolutely heartwarming. The hospitality was genuine—everyone at the property was extremely polite, kind, and always ready to help with a smile, which instantly made me feel at home. The hotel itself is a piece of art. The architecture and the intricate carvings on the walls are simply mesmerizing, reflecting the rich heritage of Jaisalmer. Every corner of the property has been thoughtfully designed, and it truly feels like stepping into a royal haveli. My room was spacious, elegant, and luxurious, offering every comfort I could ask for. But the highlight for me was the jharokha—a beautiful traditional balcony where I spent hours sitting, gazing outside, and listening to music. It created such a peaceful atmosphere that it felt like my soul was being soothed and recharged. Evenings at Garh Meera were magical. We went up to the terrace for snacks, and the view left me speechless. From there, the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort stood right in front of us, glowing golden under the evening light. Watching the sunset while sipping tea and enjoying delicious snacks with that breathtaking view was truly an unforgettable experience. I can honestly say I am more than satisfied with my stay—it was beyond my expectations. A heartfelt thanks to Sahil ji and the entire staff for making my trip so special. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made all the difference. I would highly recommend Garh Meera to anyone visiting Jaisalmer—it’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience you’ll carry with you forever.

NetherlandsWe had a wonderful luxury stay in Jaisalmer! The room was stunning, and the entire property (inside and out) you have a beautiful traditional Jaisalmer craftsmanship. Everywhere you look, there’s intricate detail that adds so much charm. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, offering a lovely place to relax with an amazing view of the fort, especially at sunset. The food was delicious, and the owner Sahil truly understands hospitality. Always present and ready to help. A big compliment to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. I even got to wear a traditional Indian lehenga for a fun photo shoot. Which was such a unique and memorable experience! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a special stay in Jaisalmer!

ItalyThe desert trip was ok but we still we had our issues, for example the car was pretty old and this made the ride quite bumpy. The guide was pretty sick and overall he struggles to speak proper English. I feel that if you are looking for something more structured you should go with the more fancy tourists trips. Also notice that you will be just outside the city. That's ok if you do not care about walking short distances but the area is not the nicest.
The place is really nice. The food was great with a decent view from the terrace. We also had them organize for us a desert trip (only half a day), and overall the experience was ok, it won't be the most "standard" tour but the guide we got took all the possible steps to make it ok. Also the food in the desert was ok and prepared taking care of basic hygiene standards.

United KingdomLarge comfortable room. Great breakfast and dinner served on rooftop restaurant with fantastic view overlooking fort; large portions and no problem catering for my partner who is Coeliac. Friendly and helpful staff. It’s just a 15 minute walk to the fort and 5 minutes to Sunset Point (which is just behind the hotel).

United KingdomStaff were not very interested once they failed to sell us an expensive tour based on "quality." We had made our own arrangements. What the "quality" was, never got defined. Laundry was more expensive than elsewhere and only "non budget" hotel, Guesthouse or honestay where we've had to pay for water. Room directly opened onto reception, wasn't that quiet.
Nice enough hotel and restaurant was good. Location OK.

IndiaMy stay at Garh Meera in Jaisalmer was amazing! The staff—Mehrap, Manish, and Sahil—were so helpful and kind. They made sure I had everything I needed, like arranging tours and giving great tips for exploring the city. The Property: The hotel is beautiful, with a traditional Rajasthani design. The rooms are clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. I loved the rooftop area with its amazing views of Jaisalmer Fort and the city. Location: It’s perfectly located! You can walk to Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, and busy markets nearby. Even though it’s in the city center, the hotel feels quiet and peaceful. Small Things: There’s no elevator (it’s an old building), but the staff helped carry my bags. Overall: Garh Meera is a wonderful place to stay. Great for anyone who wants to experience real Rajasthani culture, stay in a pretty hotel, and get top-notch service. 5/5 stars!

SpainBest hotel we have stayed in India so far! The owner has put great attention to detail and the rooms are very well decorated with traditional Rajisthani designs. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable with soft bedsheets. Also the building in itself is very beautiful with a great rooftop to see the fort. Besides the food at the rooftop restaurant is very very tasty! Also the owner and all the workers are very attentive and spend time helping you with anything you need giving you special personalised attention. We will come back!!!
