I had a wonderful stay at The Hosteller Fort Kochi! The property is beautifully maintained, clean, and has a very warm vibe that makes you feel at home right away. The staff are extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is excellent—close to all the main attractions like Jew Street, Mattancherry Palace, and the Synagogue—making it super convenient to explore the area on foot. The rooms and dorms are spacious, hygienic, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. What I loved most was the community atmosphere; it’s a great place to meet fellow travelers, relax, and enjoy the cultural charm of Fort Kochi. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, and I would highly recommend it for both short and long stays.

The community feel of the hostel was awesome! As was the location which is right in the middle of town. The faciloties like the games and rooftop area were great. The kitchen wasnt perfect but good for a hostel. Beds were great with nice privacy curtains and a little lock box as well as a big locker that could fit almost all bags. Bathrooms were nice and clean and nice that there were two per room with all facilities inside.

Not very social, the communal areas were too hot. The hostel could do more to promote a social atmosphere. Downstairs reception in the evenings didn’t smell great and was also humid. Whilst there were some helpful staff, a lot were not. It was hard to get information out from some of the staff at times. We asked them to do our laundry and expected it back same day. It later turned out they hadn’t even sent it and weren’t very apologetic.

Good location, private rooms were clean and comfortable. AC was appreciated.

I hate that Hosteller always demands pay in advance and every time cancels my trip with booking. I will only pay with cash! There was a kitchen but it was quite dirty when we arrived, they did clean it but it still was in need of a really deep clean. Also it really needs more utensils and stuff. A few minor tweaks and I'd give it 10/10

Location was great, I loved the social spaces in the hostel, playing ping pong and carrom and making new friends was great. Air conditioning in the rooms is a must and they have it. Privacy curtains are brilliant in Hosteller hostels and I really love that. You can book really great trips through the hostel, I'd recommend the backwaters trip for sure. The staff really made my stay though, all are really friendly and nice, Abi in particular was super helpful and really just a lovely bloke!

The WiFi was terrible and the kettle in our room was broken. The staff weren’t overly helpful, checking in on an app is annoying.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the smart TV is also good. The location is great and very convenient for getting round Fort Kochi.

The check-in procedure is just ridiculous and time-consuming. The last thing a traveller wants to do after arriving from another long trip dead tired is to get tangled into online application form filling, which does not usually go well. At first, one random kid at the reception said they didn't accept cash which baffled a German visitor, but then the actual receptionist (I believe) did accept cash from me. Go figure. No towel was provided, though it was mentioned on a board at the receptionist desk. False advertisement, I guess. I carry my own towel anyway.

The location is very convenient; it is in the heart of Fort Kochi. Plenty of foreign tourists, too. The hostel is well maintained, and the bathrooms were clean.

The worst thing was the staff, who just hang around the entrance and don't say much. Doesn't feel hospitable. The bed was also very small (I'd guess 1.7 m). The building itself has no air and is very moist. Finally, there was no social vibe.

The place is clean and the dorm had an AC that worked well.
