How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The management could be little more welcoming specially the day time managers. A welcome smile goes a long way. Weird mix of people staying. A 40year old child like uncle who’s drunk all the time staring at you. The managers at the property seem like they’re only there for work and nothing Else. No basic courtesy and hospitality. Even a welcome hello/ namaste with a smile was missing. Property and the managers gave a very off vibe.

Verified reviewthe staff was great. they made the stay even better and i had extended because of the same reason. cleaning and service by the staff was really phenomenal and on point
there are lot of facilities that are not available. this property does not have a traditional common room so it's hard to bond with other people living in the dorms and this is a share sentiment between other travelers also. the property is not made to handle the rain that happens in the location here and stairs becomes dangerous in itself.

Verified reviewThe staff were really friendly and welcoming, they would accommodate you with anything you need. Chandan checked me in and he was really helpful and made sure the premises were secure and respected.
Unfortunately the dorm was not cleaned regularly. With 6 ladies in the room, there was a lot of mess and it would have been nice to have replacements of toilet rolls, cleaning of wet floor etc.

There was no events or engagements. Didn’t feel like hostel, it was mostly like a room or lodge and I was staying at female dorm and There’s no sign that it’s female dorm , men came and used washroom and there’s some constant noise when I was sleeping, something like water moment or motor inside the building

Verified reviewI had a lovely experience at the hotel, largely thanks to the wonderful staff. They were incredibly helpful throughout my stay, assisting me with an early check-in and a late checkout, which made my visit much more convenient. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise, especially since I couldn’t access the beach view due to the storm. Overall, it was a comfortable and leisurely stay with beautiful scenery that I truly appreciated.
On the flip side, there were a couple of hiccups during my visit. Initially, the shower was not functioning properly, but I was relieved when it started working after a short while. Additionally, the storm prevented me from enjoying the beach view, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these minor challenges, the warmth and support of the staff truly made my stay memorable.

Verified reviewVery nice dorm beds, super clean. Sea view from everywhere. The pool's great also and so are the common areas. Great for a short time to explore Mandrem and Arambol.
The property has an online ordering/request system which is great but restaurant orders should be taken in-person also, instead of just online, because it's hassle making online payments for international guests.

The Hosteller built a nice place but forgot that it was supposed to be a hostel. You don’t listen to people, because I’m not the first one who is saying that. Some kind of hostel activities are needed: games, animations in the evening to bring people together. There is no space to dry your clothes which is a normal thing (on the coast or not), people need to do laundry as well. Beds are designed in a weird way, I assume you wanted to enhance ventilation, but ended up with no privacy. You can see through bed walls and they are also very short - if you sleep on the upper bed next to a creep, they can easily reach you. Also, some kind education of men is important (women usually behave is a less entitled way). Sharing rooms means that you don’t chat to your friends in the middle of the night, you use earphones, you don’t clear your throat like Indian uncles, you also should care about hygiene. And please clean bathrooms including walls and doors, otherwise they will get worse and worse.

The service in the hotel - you had to order everything through the app. Another issue is incessant techno music that booms from the club next door.
