How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewThe location of the property is good and the hotel is huge. Vikram & Swapnil took good care of the food after initial goof up by staff- Rahul & Rohit. The spa of the hotel is great too, special thanks to Jessica for providing great service. On the last evening had requested chef to prepare butter garlic fish which was really good. The spread in the restaurant is repetitive and could be better.
The hospitality is not at par with the likes of Taj, ITC especially given the fact that Lalit is a five star hotel. One can probably compare it with The Ashok, Delhi. The staff is not as courteous as they should be. Had asked for roasted makhana for breakfast owing to my fast but they couldn’t arrange. Had already asked them to give me sun facing room, however, somehow that had been missed by them and I had to reiterate the staff since they didn’t have the message. Further they didn’t respond to messages on Booking.com.

Verified reviewPerfect hotel for easy airport access if you don't want to get caught up in the extremely heavy traffic in Mumbai (doubtless exacerbated by the tailend of the monsoon season & Ganesha festival!) We were dropping our son at the airport having all been in Goa and then travelling ourselves on to Udaipur. It has superb facilities: nice rooms, attentive staff in the restaurant and an inviting pool. Highly recommend.

Verified reviewLovely hotel closed to the airport with a nice pool and a large breakfast buffet hall. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms equally are nice furnished.
Although the hotel is close to the airport it is somewhere in a 'nowhere's land' as it is not embedded in a larger housing structure. Therefore it is difficult to find little shops or restaurants if one wants to eat out.

Verified reviewSuch a magical indian aesthetic property! Lovely staff - always smiling and hospitable. From the entrance to the exit every staff greets you with so much joy! The housekeeping staff are so friendly! Kudos to Uwaiz - our floor leader who made sure to meet us in person when we were checking out and ensuring our stay was comfortable! Breakfast choices are nice but could be better as we were there for 10 days and we felt most of the items were repeating.
Lalit - work on your waffles please - they are rock solid :(. Some of the staff at breakfast keep forgetting your orders. Either coffees get delayed, or dosa takes ages. Gave my bombay toast order to a waiter who forgot to bring it. There are a few FNB glitches during breakfast - but rest all was +. Also the lady at the welcome counter for breakfast who assists us to the tables could smile a little more for the guests :) the first few days there was someone else assisting us but during the end of our stay we were welcomed by someone else who I felt could be a little more smiley and hospitable to requests.
