We couldn’t get a decent Indian masala tea, but that was us being more picky about our first cup of tea

This exceptional hotel is situated by the beautiful Pichola Lake. The views are stunning of both the lake and the mountains. The sunset over the mountains is a picture to behold. The boat trip to get to the hotel is really rather special: serenaded by a Rajasthan musician, rose petals that flutter over your head as you arrive and a parasol, held by the doorman, to protect you from the sun. Our room was perfect, we had everything we needed. Plenty of fresh towels and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The customer service was excellent, nothing is ever too much. A big thank you to Kashish, Gaurav and Deepak for looking after us so well and making our birthday so special. The restaurants are a treat with the most spectacular views. The food is delicious, especially the fish curry and the shoulder of lamb. I loved sitting on the patio and feeling the breeze from the lake whilst enjoying a tantalising breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and watching the evening performance by the Rajasthan musicians and dancers. This really did make this an interesting Indian experience. Finally, the swimming pool is a dream. We spent quite a few hours swimming and relaxing by it. Thank you for everything, we will be back! India is a very special place with great people.

nothing to fault!! Lighting in the rooms can be brighter!! Doors in dining rooms are quite heavy to open!!

Serene place with sounds of birds, water and pleasant songs/instruments !!! The smells and sights were very different from what we had seen before!! Staff were friendly and courteous, always willing to help!! Special mention to Mr Gaurav, Jonia and Navneet who looked after us in every single meal( going out of their ways to help us)!!!!! The song and dance were so beautiful to watch!!!

Nothing that i did not like but there is scope of improvement in children's play area.

The hospitality, breakfast and intuitive care provided by hotel staff (special thanks to these people for providing value added services -going beyond to make our stay memorable and serving from heart - inside hotel premises @ front desk, Butler Kashish , Chef Vijay, sheesh mahal manager Shams, Deepak ( F & B) and Terry (Breakfast Hostess), Housekeeping manager amrita and housekeeping staff - Handyson, al boatmen especially Brajmohan ji, Kaluji the welcoming chief and BMW Driver Kishan ji are world class people even beyond what one will get internationally. You dont need to say it, they know what you need, right from arrival at airport to the boat ride to the hotel and inside premises. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with family for fun filled stay with happiness in abundance as a package with value for every penny spent! Our First hotel expetience where we got service right from arrival at udaipur airport till departure with porter assistance upto check in counter. We had some questions that were not answered about the New years celebration gifts despite repeated asking. That was disappointing. It also wasn't clear who the right person was to direct those questions to.

The entire hotel staff was great. Exceptional service by the concierge staff and restaurant staff. Went above and beyond. Also, I was unwell when I arrived, the hotel staff ensured they took care of me. They helped us get to our room and did check in in our room. Amazing customer focus.

I didn’t like that the fine dining restaurant was the only restaurant that had the best view of the lake. Also the fact you had to prebook and be charged a minimum to eat there . If you are a guest in the hotel you certainly don’t want to be bothered with this.

- Need to stop the pigeons - so so many, all over the hotel - would recommend ‘bird b gone’ gel - this would deter but not harm them - Having opted (and paid) for a plunge pool in our room, but we’re not informed that we could heat it (probably an important thing to tell you on the room orientation?) until we asked on the final day…

- Very extensive and high quality lunch and dinner menus at the restaurants - Boat service pretty efficient - Requests brought to the room speedily

Bizarrely each night we were told we had to make a reservation for dinner, as the fine dining restaurant had limited seating. We went through a whole process of ‘trying’ to find a table - which we did - only to discover the place was half empty… just strange. The pool area was overtaken by a large noisy wedding party and was impossible to relax there. Our initial room had a view of a big tree… but we got moved quickly.

Amazing location, excellent view from our room over the lake and top quality food at the restaurant. Very enjoyable performances. The hotel arranged for a guide who was excellent and very professional. And of course the butler service that Leela is known for.
