How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We were greeted like royals with music and rose petals falling from the ceiling. Definitely something to record as that’s the first impression of many from this hotel. The hotel is not only beautiful and iconic, but every detail — from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design — reflected elegance and true hospitality. Everything was exactly as expected, and in many ways, far beyond my expectations. What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member I encountered was professional, respectful, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I genuinely felt cared for in a way that’s rare, even among luxury hotels. A very special thank you goes to our hostess, she went above and beyond the day we stayed there since my parents where celebrating their 40 weeding anniversary. She was able to do for us an amazing gesture that my family and I will never forget! I would like for her to see this message hopefully and know that we tried to look for her before leaving to thank her and give her something but unfortunately she was off the morning we left and couldn’t say our thank you’s and our good bye’s. I pray that people like you are blessed your whole life. Thank you again for making the difference for us to choice you guys again when we visit. Also, the housekeeper assigned to my room. He is hands down the best housekeeper I’ve ever encountered — trustworthy, meticulous, and extremely kind. Their attention to detail and dedication to excellence were truly impressive, and they made my stay all the more enjoyable. This hotel is in the middle of all attractions and what more can you ask than to have the Lake Pichola in front of you. The boat rides to the port entrance where they pick you up is enough to enjoy those rides on the Lake Pichola.

Verified reviewThe location, the entire staff from housekeeping, to restaurant, to reception staff, even the boat drivers all were so genuine in their care and hospitality. A special shout out to Sanjay from the Restaurant for all his hospitality and to Tejveer Rathore too. Leela retains an old world charm in the culture of its people. Boat rides available anytime to enter and exit the hotel on the beautiful and placid lake waters . This place is simply wonderful to unwind ,relax and be pampered.
There wasn't anything to dislike here .All small issues were responded to immediately and satisfactory.
