We had such a wonderful stay at The Mudhouse! Ambili, Deepak and all of the staff were so warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The kitchen staff cooked the most delicious traditional meals, which were always served up with the biggest smiles! Our hut was clean and beautifully decorated, with an amazing outdoor shower and a peaceful veranda out front. The location is truly spectacular and was the perfect spot to rest and unwind. We particularly enjoyed walking to the river, cycling around the local area and spotting wildlife! We also thoroughly enjoyed treatments in the spa and morning yoga. We highly (highly) recommend staying at The Mudhouse!

Our stay at Mudhouse Marayoor was incredible! This place was the highlight of our trip to Kerala. The setting is charming, our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive—we loved everything! The surroundings are stunning as well. We highly recommend taking the bikes to explore the area and going on the 45-minute walk to the waterfalls. Don’t hesitate to book—this place is truly breathtaking. I hope we get the chance to come back!

I can not fault this place

It was so peaceful and had beautiful surrounds. The Mudhouse is so unique our room had an amazing outdoor shower and bath which was amazing to lay in and look up at the stars. The gardens were beautiful and the room and facilities was very clean and well presented and the food was delicious. The staff were amazing.

The Mudhouse is an amazing place managed by the most amazing people. It's not the location that makes Mudhouse special, it's the people who run the place. They are all very kind, very humble and pleasant. They make every aspect of your stay memorable. The pictures of the room are realistic and the rooms are extremely well kept.

The most unique and wonderful stay at this property. The Treehouse was amazing as were the gardens and the property in general is situated in the most tranquil and beautiful settings. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond and the food is delicious! Highly recommend.

Where do I start!?!? Beautiful location, ideal to unwind and get away from it all. Staying in the treehouse is a unique experience, a real feeling of living amongst nature. The sunrise from the bedroom was the highlight (see pic) as well as contemplating the stars from the balcony. If the treehouse is unavailable, try and book Mummy's cottage. Stunning studio style apartment with en suite bathroom. Beds were super comfy and we had amazing sleeps! The staff led by Ambily are amazing. We felt treated like family with love and care. Ambily is a beautiful soul and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and adapted to our dietary requirements. Make sure you cuddle Blackie, Brownie and Cookie the house dogs, they are lovely! We will be back!

They could have a mosquito net over the bed. I woke up eaten by them even though we did not leave the doors to the room open.

The location is just amazing, surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. There is also lot of things to see around (waterfalls, viewpoints) and it is not far from Munnar so you can visit from there as well. The highlight was Deu (I hope I spelled her name correctly) who was taking care of us during our stay and it made us feel like a home. The food was also delicious!

Really different experience. Very clean and well maintained property far from the hustle of the cities and near the forest. The manager Ambily was very helpful and the staff was the most courteous I have ever seen. There is a river hike that you should definitely not miss. The food was also amazingly authentic and prepared in the most hygienic way.

We stayed 2 nights in the treehouse which is a really exceptional place. It's a real treehouse in a real tree with lovely views over the gardens and valley beyond. It has a very comfy bed, and the bathroom is a masterpiece. All the staff were super helpful and the food delicious. Thoroughly recommend!

I absolutely loved the treehouse, my friend and I stayed in it and it was SO magical. from start to finish our stay was perfect. the thing we loved the most was the amazing staff, the beautiful women taking care of us, cooking incredible food for us, making us feel like we were part of their home. we couldn’t haven’t asked for more. The setting of the treehouse is amazing, it overlooks the vast garden and beyond. There is so much wholesome energy we were so blessed and greatful to have been a part of it. thank you so much, we would love to come back one day it was a highlight of our entire trip around India.

I chose Munnar only upon chancing the Treehouse at the property. And it truly did not disappoint. This property is perfect if you just want to get away and be amongst nature. Didn’t manage to do much coz of the weather apart from the wonderful hike to the river. But there’s nothing to complain since the property is a perfect reason to do nothing and idle the time away. All the staff were amazing and attentive. You won’t feel as a guest, rather treated as part of their family. Food here is like a typical home cooked food and by far the best I’ve had throughout my time in India. Thank you Ambily and the team at the Mudhouse for the generous hospitality. Highly recommended!

Absolutely nothing. My stay was beyond perfection.

Where to start ? The hotel location is amazing with a splendid view over the valley and the mountains, the houses are extraordinarily designed to provide a serene atmosphere with anything you might need. But above all, the team professionally managed by Ambily will take care of any desire you might have from delicious food to local remedies as well as arranging all the visits for you the only thing you have to do is to enjoy as much as you can as, unfortunately, paradise does not last forever.

There no pool, little hard if you're there with kids. Non-veg is restricted to chicken, with the skills of their kitchen staff, i would have liked some other meats too.

It's run by a family who've been in the forces, so there is attention to every detail. The service beats any Taj hotel & the warmth is something that's hard to explain. Neat, clean to another level, serene & the food....... my god..... i'm still thinking about it. The only downside if you ask me is that this isn't Munnar, so if you're chasing the cold, you have to go further uphill.
