We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The room was spotless and beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail—it felt like every little thing we could possibly need was thoughtfully provided. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had through Booking.com. The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay special. She not only helped us map out our travels for the next day but also prepared an incredible to-go breakfast since we had to leave very early in the morning. It was one of the most thoughtful and delicious breakfasts we’ve ever had.

Prices are on the higher side, but very fair for Iceland and the quality offered.

Great location in a green valley at the start of the West Iceland peninsula, about 5 km on a well-kept gravel road. The main building has the reception, dining area and a few small units. We stayed in one of the larger double units just below the road, with amazing views over the valley. Rooms are modern, stylish and very functional. Breakfast is in a small but well-stocked buffet area. Dinner is by reservation (book by early afternoon) with a short menu, but dishes are excellent, well-prepared and nicely presented. Limited wine list, but good quality. The family running the place is super kind and gave us great tips for sightseeing, cafes, and fuel stops. Overall, highly recommended – especially for couples looking for a quiet, comfortable stay.

I just think it’s a bit too expensive considering the location and no tv in room. Also, we were bothered by the fact that there were sliding doors without handle and soundproofing between toilet and room.

The road is a little bumpy.

The views are spectacular, and the cottages are very well maintained. Bed is comfortable, and I loved the attention to detail. Food is also good (we had breakfast and dinner).

Very kind staff! The house that we had was very cute and confortable. The house had internal bathroom and toilet and they were very nice and clean too. The dinners in the restaurant were VERY delicios! The view from the porch of the house was fantastic!

It’s a long way from any gas stations, retail, other restaurants, or even paved road. That’s okay if you like solitude, or if it’s winter and you want to see northern lights.

The views were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and gave us lots of useful information about the area. Our room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend having an evening meal there, simple menu but very tasty food.

This was by far the best place we stayed on our journey around the ring road. The room was so nice, clean, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff were super friendly and gave us recommendations on activities to do. The dinner we ordered and the free breakfast were both great. 10/10 recommend!

Small but perfectly formed. The room was very comfortable, modern and clean. Staff super friendly helpful and although the food menu looks basic the quality is superb. But the location is the real reason to visit. Just stunning and a taste of what it is to live on a an Icelandic farm.

We had a great one night stay in Dalahyttur, the surrounding ist amazing, the rooms brand new, warm and comfortable. The hosting woman is amazing, and so were dinner and breakfast. We had a delicate storm that night, but we fehlt secure and cosy.

This property out in the wonderland is beautiful and so fun to stay there. We had a warm greeting from the host. Everything was immaculate clean. It's a wonderful place to view the northern lights. Our room was comfortable with a great shower. Very beautiful furnishings and linens. We had a small fridge with a kettle. We even had a small deck to enjoy the Iceland views with sheep grazing nearby. Parking is very nice - just two steps outside the door. Marie or maybe it was Maria was our breakfast host and she had a beautiful presentation of an Iceland breakfast. We really enjoyed this location and can't wait to go back. Thank you, Dalahyttur
