The bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable for me.

The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was really nice with lots of options. Good location, close to Vik and to the Black Sand Beach. Great views outside!

Very little, minor stuff like torn carpet and semi functioning window shades were about all. There was as some confusion at check in but was quickly sorted.

The guys running it were helpful and kind. Breakfast is awesome! Room was an upgrade and large, comfy bed and big bathroom.

Probably the best breakfast (included with room) in Iceland. We also tried the food at night and it was incredible. The chef is amazing!

Very clean rooms and great location - around 15 mins drive from Vik. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast for us - the best we had in Iceland. Lots of home made fish and delicious food options. I would 100% go back.

Setting was great, not far from Vik. We ate at the hotel in the evening which was lovely and big servings. Breakfast great loads of choice.

Breakfast was great, had a good variety of filling options, great for a long day ahead. The location was perfect for watching the sunset and seeing out to the ocean.

We arrived after darkness and it was a bit confusing to know which building the rooms are in, no signalling visible on any buildings except the reception.

It was comfy with nice heating and good shower. It was nice that it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere but still close to Vík. Breakfast was nice :)

The room was not as warm as we expected (in comparison with other places in iceland), although it was not cold. Bed was comfortable, but the linen was slightly overused. It felt a bit overpriced, compared to other places we stayed in Iceland, even considering the great breakfast

We got all the information for self-checkin ahead of time, which was super convenient. Breakfast was amazing! Plenty of options, great quality of food, very good coffee (which I emphasize, because I know I am picky), quick food replacemnet.

Missed having a working tv. Since I was traveling alone I picked places to stay that had tv in their description. I was disappointed at first, but overall this was a minor inconvenience.

Comfortable, secluded, with sparkly clean facility and room, especially bathroom, towels and bed linen. The cleanest place I've ever stayed. The breakfast buffet had many choices and was very tasty. Staff were kind and helpful, especially Alice and Stephan. I enjoyed chatting with Alice and was grateful for her help getting my luggage to my room, which was very far down a long hallway with steps, and writing down the names if several attractions in the area and how to get to them. Stephan helped me correct a couple of oversights on my part, without judgement, ie I inadvertantly left with the room key in my pocket. Instead of returning, he assured me it would be ok to leave it with the receptionist at my next location. I also left without paying for my food (2 delish soups). I thought the charges were automatically added to my stay. He sent me a link that was easy to use to quickly resolve that issue too, without returning. As a 74yo solo traveler, I couldn't have picked a better place to feel secure and well cared for.

It has no mirror in the room, but there's mirror in the bathroom. But for women like us, mirror is essential :)

I really liked the breakfast. It was very fulfilling. The pastry was so yummyyy! And the smoked salmon! Arrghh writing this made me hungry again. The room was also nice because it has ensuite bathroom. For the price, if you compare it with another country, it can be considered expensive. But if you compare it to Iceland's hotel price range, it was reasonable. Some guesthouse even have similar rate but with shared bathroom and no breakfast

A bit overpriced; check-in from 3 pm and checkout at 11 am (a total of 20h only); restaurant closed for dinner during my stay; TV did not work.

Nice hotel just off highway 1 in southern Iceland; no more than 20 min drive to either Skogafoss or downtown Vik; big comfortable rooms; splendid breakfast.
