All night there was a light in front of our window

This hotel provides classic hotel amenities and service -- something that is rare nowadays -- for a very good price. Our Superior room was spacious and everything was very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good, the dinner buffet excellent with a wide choice of salads.

The fact that we had to make the reservation in the hotel reception. It was not necessary for us to walk one way to another a couple of time - even thought the restaurant was closed.

The location was perfect, and the waitress from the restaurant was very lovely to us. Amazing view from the window :)

The dinner was quite expensive for what it was and "eating out" options were 25minutes away in the nearest town. Sadly the hottub was only available in the afternoon and evening.

The stay was ok, the room was clean and the staff were really friendly. But what I loved the most was the Cat Queen that was chilling in the lobby and made the whole experience even more cozy. The breakfast was good and tasty, there was a nice spread. We also had diner their buffet restaurant, which was fairly good.

Breakfast was very crowded (layout not ideal). Dinner main course portion was too small and not particularly great. Definitely not worth the price. No fridge. Could hear other guests through walls (especially their bathroom, e.g. electric shaver). Bed very soft. Room difficult to darken with curtains.

Location is nice, we could see the lake from our room. Staff was friendly, especially at reception desk. Spacious bathroom. Free hot tub outside.

The location is close by Hengifoss and sits in a beautiful forest. So calm and serene! Breakfast is very good with a lot of varieties. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The bed was not the best in my opinion. Not coomfy enough. There is not enough parking space. Smoking is not allowed on the terrace, that is unethical.

It was our fault not realizing the road we took was an off road! It was a long and scary drive. Next time, we will know better and not always pick the route recommended by GPS.

Washroom is not convenient to use, sink is too small for use, water flooded into the bedroom floor if you did not pay attention. Internet speed is not good.

It’s in a scenic spot hotel, surrounded by forest. Breakfast buffet is comparable to 3/4 stars hotel.

We didn't find a lift to go to the second floor, so we had to carry the suitcases which are a bit on the heavy side. We arrived very late and the parking was completely full. We were still able to park right next to the hotel though, just the place wasn't designed exactly for parking.

Hotel is located in a peaceful and beautiful place with good weather, which is kind of rare for Iceland. Decent room, very nice service at reception.

Breakfasts were delicious, they offered a happy hour with a great selection of wine and beer, and a hotel in a forest was really cool! We loved this hotel!
