Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A well sited Hotel not far from the Main streets and sights of Reykjavik. We only spent one night and it was adequate. Room was ok in size with fridge and coffee making facilties. Bathroom was small but ok. Room over looked street but it wasn't overly noisy at anytime. 15 minute walk to the Central Reykjavik and same to the sea promenade/walkway. Recommended for a 1 or 2 night stay locally.

IrelandI gave a lower score to value for money only because I think it could be a bit less expensive, but Iceland is expensive, so not really a problem.
Location perfect! Away from the buzz in town but very close to the main streets, restaurants, bars, services. Room: it looks like an old hotel but the room was great size, bed and pillows very comfortable, shower ok, did it's job. Nothing bad to say. Reception: unfortunately I didnt catch her name but the girl in reception in day time was soooo helpful and polite. Breakfast amazing! Many options to choose from for all tastes.

PolandIf you are a light sleeper and you pick one of those renovated rooms on the ground floor, I recommend bringing earplugs and maybe a sleep mask. Windows in my room were next to garage entry, not a big issue but there was heavy traffic around 10-11 pm and then in the morning.
Hotel staff was very polite and helpful Spacious room with both shower and bath in the bathroom Comfy and big bed Amazing breakfast with lots of choice (English breakfast, continental, lots of fruits and veggies, pastry, even waffles) Luggage storage available after check out British TV channels on TV, nothing like catching up on old Kitchen Nightmares episodes after a long day of activities 😀 Quiet neighborhood, just few minute walk to the center

United States of Americasmall rooms. We're a family of 5, had to reserve 2 rooms. Rooms were on the same floor but not next to each other so kids were in one room down the hall, we were in the other room. But, last minute reservations so couldn't be helped
Price was good and able to reserve a room a that last minute.

Hong KongThe breakfast was good but we arrived at 9:15 and the staff kept on taking away our plates and reminding us the closing time is 10:00, to a point that I feel it is rude.
The front desk staff Katrina was very helpful and professional. The location is good. It is near the bus stops and the city.

CanadaReception desk staff were friendly, but service at the desk could have been faster. It seemed to take an unusually long time to process each party, but there could have been technical or other issues.
The breakfast was excellent (especially the skyr), the reception desk staff were friendly and the hotel's location was very convenient to the main downtown area. The room was basic, but clean.

United KingdomMy only issue was my room had a balcony which needed tidying up and weeds removing, it was also in need of fresh paint, it spoilt what would have been a nice view over the city.
The location was great for me, not far from one of the main streets for bars and restaurants and also a short walk from bus stop 13 which was a pick up/drop off point for both the airport shuttle and the many different tour companies for day trips out of Reykjavik. Breakfast was excellent and the staff at the front desk were very helpful.

CanadaThe washrooms were a little outdated, but still good.
Our room occupied 3 people. Each of us has Individual beds. The room was spacious there was a couch for lounging and the washroom was a great size. The included breakfast was so good! More than what we expected. The staff at the front freak were very helpful and friendly. It was easy to get to and from the hotel. We walked to all of our tour pick up spots or tour picked us up from the hotel. Out Leisure days, we walked all of down town, to the water front, music hall and back. I would come back.

United States of AmericaThe family suite was very dated and worn. I felt bad interrupting the front desk to stop what they were doing to open the locked parking garage door to let us in and out with our car.
The breakfast was very delicious and a great value and quality for free breakfast buffets. The location was great and quiet neighborhood that felt safe. Free and easy garage parking for cars was great when trying to compete with street parking.
