Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IcelandNo nightstands, no mini fridge, the curtains were too short so as soon as the sun came up the room was completely bright and it was hard to sleep. We couldn’t see out the window due to humidity between the glasses. Very thin comforter/duvet.
Nice location, just next to the pool.

United KingdomSliding door for toilet only frosted so this felt a bit strange right next to the bed. It would have been nice to have a fridge. Sofa was facing away from TV also the tv was wall mounted but not plugged in so we had to try and plug it in behind which wasn't easy.

Hong KongThe split wc / shower worked well in the room. The long bench for suitcases and large windows for good natural light. Great location just up the hill from the city church and pedestrian zone.

IsraelThe room layout makes no sense. The shower is separate from the toilet, and neither provides any privacy. This was really inconvenient.

United KingdomThe gent on reception when we arrived adhoc was not especially helpful or friendly. Once I booked a room on line and came back to the hotel the young girl at reception was very welcoming. The large shelf behind the bed made it uncomfortable to sit up in bed ..maybe move it a little higher ?
We had a room on a high floor so good views over the swimming pools, river and mountains.

United KingdomSteep hill up to the hotel, but it kept us fit! Couldn't really fault the hotel.
We loved the warm welcome. The hotel is modern and well presented. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. Wonderful big window to view the mountains! Good location near right opposite the local swimming pools, which are brilliant. I appreciated the free parking for our hire car.

United StatesNo exercise facilities but aquatic center is across the street. Food is expensive.
We loved that our room had large windows looking out over the city. The excellent aquatic center is right across the street from the hotel. The food service was very good but expensive. The hotel gives a 1000 krona voucher for each night you decline housekeeping.

United KingdomStaff could have been more relaxed and friendly they were a bit serious. We met so many happy wonderful Icelandic people but not the hotel staff, they need to be more friendly.
Lovely hotel quiet location but at the top of a hill so you need to be fit and healthy to go up and down. Could be fun if it was icy or snowing... Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Akureyri town is close by and The Backpackers was excellent for food and drink and the staff were really lovely. We used Viator for trips the service was excellent and Siggy our guide was top notch. Everything about this area is breathtaking. But make sure you have plenty of spare money it is VERY expensive.

United KingdomRooms are modern and comfortable, some questionable design choices with regards to the layout, ie absolutely no privacy when using the bathroom (just a frosted glass door) and sink is the the main bedroom area instead of the bathroom but if you're a couple it's no problem.
Hotel is right by the city centre, a short walk uphill from the main high street with free onsite parking. Breakfast is good value, l ots of choices, both savoury and sweet, I would have liked to see more vegetarian options though. Hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar with happy hour.

IcelandCould not open windows in the room I got at first, therefore had to change room. Then in the second room I got, only one window of two could open. Then it seamed like the staff did not inform each others of requests. So things had to be done 2 times.
