Not much... only thing was that the wifi router is a bit far from the studio, so the connection wasn't as strong in the kitchen. Having another wifi point extension would help.

Ally is incredible and welcoming, the studio is beautiful and cozy, the location is so picturesque. I asked to check in early in the morning for my afternoon meetings, and Ally left the key in the door for me!

If there is one improvement to suggest, it would be to remove one of the mattresses on the bed for single travelers. As it stands the (double) bed mattresses are stacked on top of each other in a single bed configuration which makes for a VERY soft sleeping surface, not great if you have back problems.

The apartment is adjacent to the owner's residence but has a separate entrance and it's quite private. As others have said, probably the best possible use of 14sqm. Decent size shower and sink (more than I can say for other, bigger places in Iceland), ingeniously placed drying area for wet items, plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances - nothing really missing. Quiet area on the exurbs of Reykjavík.

There was a cat. It was beautiful and I got to pet it! Water was hot, had lots of amenities *most of which I didn't use, but if you needed to cook, it had all that stuff available.

It was truly a cozy apartment. I was treated by Ally(host) with a big hug and smile. Everything you could think of was provided. Even the kitty was friendly!!! Sad I only stayed 1 night and wasn’t there long. If I need to stay in the area again I would pick it.

Ally met me at the door and provided a little tour over the property which is just next door to her main residence. The unit was sparkling clean: a comfortable mini-bedroom and kitchenette equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. Ally is a very welcoming and attentive host: she would follow up later in the day to make sure you have everything for a good stay. This is a perfect accommodation for a solo traveller.

The space was perfect for me, but it'd be very small for a couple... unless you love each other very much. There's very little natural light, and no view, but if you're not planning on being there much, that's not going to bother you. It's a cosy little bolt-hole to come back to after a busy day exploring Iceland.

Ally is a lovely, friendly and helpful host, who cannot do enough for you. The location is beautiful, if a little quiet, and there's a beautiful walk along the beach, looking back towards Reykjavik. There's a great wee swimming pool with hot and cold tubs overlooking the beach as well, which is open to the public. The accommodation is very compact, neat and spotlessly clean. Ally has made the most of every square centimetre of space, and I had everything I could even imagine needing. (The coffee Ally left out was delicious, and I'm fussy about me coffee!)

Simply just the perfect place you need for a few nights' stay. The landlady is really courteous and kind and the studio is truly cozy. We even got some coffee and tea, plus a welcome drink in the fridge. 10/10❤️

It was awesome. There wasn’t a single thing to complain about.

Warm and friendly welcome. Ally was a wonderful host. Inside the accommodation we found everything we needed. A comfortable bed, cooking utensils, a clean bathroom. Soap, towels, fresh bedsheets and even some Icelandic chocolate and a Jólaöl were waiting for us. It really was a wonderful stay!
