Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgMini fringe in the room might be helpful.
We stayed in with our 6y/o in a Bigger room with entrance through terrace. It was very charming. View on the church and parlament provided very “central” feel. We stayed only one night but could have stayed longer. The cleanliness of the room was impecable. Kitchen island had tableware and coffee machine. Perfect to had a cup of tea or serve decently your take-away meals. Sleeping sofa was great and easily could accommodate two people. Hot water did not smell with rotten eggs! Taxi arranged by the desk came at 4 am, as requested.

AustraliaAccess to the room was via an outdoor walkway. The room layout was a bit strange, the bathroom needed some maintenance, the fridge was loud and the blinds were not good enough for the bright lights next door.
Location was good, room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and staff were helpful.

United KingdomNothing, we had a great stay.
This was a great hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, the room was surprisingly big, very well equipped. The only thing that could improve it, and it's really minor, is that there are some basic utensils etc to allow you to cook some food in the room and a coffee machine. There's no kettle and theres no fridge (but it was cold enough we could leave stuff outside the window) but we weren't expecting to have any of that anyway so they are great bonus facilities and we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was really good, we were given any additional bit we asked for eg extra creamer sachets, it was a great stay. And the bar was nice to chill out in.

United States of AmericaThe walls were thin but even then it wasn’t the worst. If the other guests are respectful it’s not a problem.
It was in the perfect location to explore Reykjavík and also for pickup/drop off for many tours. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaA little hard to control the heat, it was either too hot or too cold. Couldn’t get the heated towel rack in the bathroom to turn all the way off, so it was always heat coming from the bathroom.
Great location, easy to walk to anywhere and a nice little bar.

EstoniaThere is not much not to like. If you want to be really picky, the P1 parking zone next to the hotel doesn't allow you to park for more than 3 hours. I don't get the logic - if I'm the one paying anyway and I'm fine with the price, then it should be my decision to stay there for longer. But that's not the fault of this nice hotel, of course. Luckily, P2 parking zones are close enough, and there are usually a few places available even if you come back in the evening. We also got unlucky with our neighbours - they were having a fight at night right in front of our window. I decided not to punch the guy in the face since Icelandic laws might not tolerate this. But I really wanted to. Once again - the hotel is not responsible for the behaviour of some of their inadequate visitors who don't care about anyone else.
There are many things to like about this hotel. First of all, it's the location - all the interesting sights are close enough, the street is not busy etc. Then there is a decent-sized "kitchen area" where you can cook and grab a drink or two. And if you missed that drink - you can simply go downstairs and get one for a lot of money, but it's Iceland, so you should be cool with that. This country is worth every penny anyway. I would gladly stay here again.

GermanySaturday night in the center of the city. Go out or use the earplugs. They are provided....Not a complaint, just a comment to make sure you know what to expect. Parking is expensive around there. Use a garage.
Nice and cozy townhouse hotel with a very good location to the center of Reykjavik. Restaurants (Recommendation: Ristorante Caruso, try the catch of the day), Laugavegur, museums, concert hall, all in walking distance.

United Kingdom- We stayed in a Cosy room and whilst it was fine for a couple of nights, it is cosy by name cosy by nature. There isn't a huge amount of space for luggage or suitcases, so felt like we were stepping over it for the few days we were here. Not the biggest issue as there's so much to see and do, we were barely in the room anyway!
- Staff on reception were always very friendly and welcoming. Went above and beyond to get us into the room early which was so kind, especially after a long journey. Also gave very good recommendations for local places to eat and organised a few taxis for us without any issue. - Rooms were clean and comfortable. - Central location, can walk to everything in Reykjavik.
