Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyWe spent 3 nights here, it's too much, as there's nothing interesting to do /to see. In fact the other guests spent just one night, because it's a convenient and cheap place to stay if you are driving on the ringroad.
This guesthouse is cozy, beds are comfy, the shared bathrooms are enough for the rooms, it's really quiet. Good Wi-Fi connection. We loved the little restaurant in front of the old harbor, from where you can see the sunset over the sea. Really good French fries and beer.

LatviaThe breakfast was self service, but the dishwasher did not work, so we had to spend much more time cleaning up after ourselves in the morning. It would be worse if there were more guests. The photos in the listing are actual photos, but not particularly reflect the atmosphere. We did not know what to expect, it was ok and fun, but not cozy.
It was ok, vibes of a kids training camp, kid had lots of fun in the gym and outside on the jumping thing. Clean. Shared kitchen clean enough. Breakfast (nothing fancy but does the job) included. We guess there were only one other guests, so it was not crowded.

ItalyI enjoyed greatly the sportshall! Even though we were tired from the long long day, we had the opportunity to stretch and relax before turning in. Also, it's cute to see all the small things from when this accomodation was used as a school

Czech RepublicI would recommend to simply not to advert the "breakfast included" as there isn't almost anything to eat :). We were prepared based on the reviews from other ppl but I was still surprised. There was 2pcgs of ham, some jogurts and few slices of toast bread and some half empty cereals with milk. The coffee was good!. There wouldnt be anything to comment on if the accommodation is simply without the brekkie!
The accommodation was nice and clean, there was everything as described, the communication with the owner was easy.

NetherlandsReally nice cabins! The cabin was really great, one of the cleanest we have ever had in Iceland! They also had super comfy beds. Besides the known big tourist spots like Dettifoss and Ásbyrgi there is a lot more to see and do in the area. We spent a lot of time in the Hljóðaklettar area as well.

GermanyIt was exactly as described, it’s a guesthouse in an old school building, the location and the view were stunning though in a very lonely region. The self service breakfast offers lot more than we expected and was a very nice gesture of the host.

IsraelIt was super creepy at first. The place is a but messy we arrived there and had no one to talk to. Turned out later that you need to call them in order to check in. The wifi was so weak in our room :(
We had a room for four with a private bathroom, it was massive and clean. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast was self served with a well equipped kitchen (they loaded the fridge with food) and it was lovely.

PolandBreakfast was included in the price of the facility but the choice of products was very limited, as if for small children :)
The object is located in a tiny charming fishing village. The surprise was that the room was located in the school, which still had a common room with a large TV, a large fully equipped canteen and a gym. the room was larger than we expected and as there were no guests we got a room with a bathroom. The owner is a very nice man, I recommend to stop at this facility on the way to the north of Iceland.

SpainMaybe a few more knives, including cutting knives, would be helpful, for the kitchen common area.
Our host was amazing and kind, and was quick to arrive when we did, although it was already after nine pm. The location is a converted school, and while we weren’t there long enough to enjoy everything, it had plenty of activities for the kids (and adults), including a bouncing bed, apparently quite typical in Icelandic playgrounds, right outside the guesthouse. We also got a special treat of a small pod of whales hunting nearby. Plus, this was the only location so far that has had recycling of more than just glass, and we really appreciated it!
