Quiet, clean, comfortable stay during our summer trip to Iceland. This was about as far east as we made it along the south coast. The location worked well for our day doing the lagoon kayak tour. Nearby restaurant was excellent, just keep in mind there are not a lot of dining options so you will want to plan your meal times and food accordingly. The shared kitchen was nice to prepare a quick breakfast for ourselves.

Showers need updating. Restrictions on cooking(no frying) a bit odd. Insufficient seating for number of guests at breakfast & no shared lounge/ sitting area.

Warm with comfortable beds. Nice touches like free juice & skyt & welcome cake. Friendly host. Clean facilities & good parking.

I did not like the price :) Never paid so much for a room with bunkbeds in my life, but this part of Iceland is VERY expensive. Great that they have kitchen available, but no frying aloud and there are limited number of tables available for your meal, so sometimes you had to wait.

Nice location and very nice hosts. Clean, convenient space with most of needed services. Great idea with with free coffee tea and skyr for guests!

I love the hotel and staff members, especially Cornelia who's so sweet and helpful! She helped me hunt for my car key. I want to thank the manager who put me into a room in the middle of the hotel with great sea view. It's everything I've dreamt of. He/she is a mind reader. I waited for 10 years to come back to this location. Absolutely worth it.

It would be good to have more hanging racks in the room.

Location was just great! Just off the ring road and so near to the Jokulsarlon lagoon and the surrounding activities which we booked (eg Glacier Adventure). So it is really a great base although it was pricey due to its location. But no regrets as it saved us travelling time and more resting time! We had 2 rooms that were next to each other. The whole hostel is very clean (we see the staff hard at work and the place smelling great) and the kitchen has excellent amenities for simple cooking. Enjoyed the coffee on the house and the excellent Icelandic happy marriage cake. Overall a very comfortable stay for 2 nights for 5 of us!

I was nervous about the shared bathrooms but our fears vanished immediately once we saw how clean and well kept the entire place was. Pristine conditions, very welcoming and cozy decor, we felt right at home.

- they have all you need - they have welcome treats, the cake is good! - they have many free food in the pantry - nice staff - good ambiance and clean - all the places, rooms, bathrooms, lobby smells so good - name it and they have it - near in restaurant - nice view, the village is in front of beautiful mountain it gives you peaceful vibes - it's beyond my expectations given the cheap price

Absolutely nothing

This hostel is perfect. It is warm and inviting and the host is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the free coffee, juice and cake are must welcome. I honestly could not recommend this more highly and I will return.
