Very clean rooms with all necessary amenities. Accommodations are in bungalows, quite small but sufficient for two persons, including bathroom and coffee maker. The Guesthouse incl. well equipped and spacious kitchenette, laundry room and hot tube. Very unproblematic self check-in. Localized close to beautiful swimming pool in Laugarnes with stunning views over Breiðafjörður.

This is a brand new (well 2 years old) facility. Great location just off the main highway with a view of the water. Full kitchen with all the tools. Nice clean unit with a beautifully appointed bathroom. Access to inside and outside dining areas. Barbecue and a hot tub. Couldn't ask for more.

Great location, modern room. The common area was really nice and super stacked with utilities. You can make use of the washing and drying machine for free. We didn't use the hot tub but it certainly looked great.

The room is quite small, and there’s not much space for unpacking larger suitcases, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. The bathroom sink is so tiny that it’s practically unusable for washing your face or brushing your teeth, as the toiletry shelf above it prevents you from leaning over. The toilet and bathroom area is separated from the room by a sliding glass door that’s only about 30 cm from one of the beds. The rooms have an electric kettle, which is very useful, but there isn’t one in the shared dining area.

Very quiet and modern accommodation in a peaceful location, with self check-in and check-out and free parking. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped, with a dining terrace and an outdoor hot tub — unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try the latter. There’s also a separate laundry room with a dryer, which can be useful for those who need it, though we didn’t use it ourselves.

It was a bit challenging to brush teeth and wash my face over the sink, as it is very small with a shelf above it.

The location, if you are visiting the puffins is perfect, right on the road about 75 mins slow drive on a gravel road from the cliffs - views are stunning, enjoy the journey. The hot tub and ice dip on site were spotless and so welcome after a long drive. The beds are comfy, the room has all it needs, it feels new and super clean. The communal kitchen is brilliantly equipped, as is the laundry. Huge bonus is the pool and hot pot right on the beach opposite - we went for an early swim first thing in the morning - stunning!

Strond Guesthouse was a very pleasant experience, from the size of the room, comfort of beds, laundry and kitchen facilities, and hot tub! We found the guesthouse easily from the road, and had no difficulty using the lock box. We really appreciated the laundry facilities.

Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, modern & well maintained. Lovely products with shampoo (& conditioner👌). The housekeeper was lovely & very good at her job, we’re big coffee drinkers & she happily accommodated us. We were never cold thanks to the underfloor heating. Shared kitchen was spotless with everything you would require & a dishwasher for guests. Washing machine & dryer facilities free for guests which was a big bonus for us! We also saw the northern lights right outside our room! Cannot recommend Strönd enough we honestly loved our stay, thank you!!

Instructions for the use of the dryer would have been very helpful, but otherwise everything was sparkling clean and very comfortable.

The location was beautiful and for our purposes, very convenient to the Breidafjord ferry. There was a geothermally heated pool near the shore, a short distance from the Strönd. We walked down to take a look at the pool but it was extremely windy so we didn't indulge in a swim. The kitchen and laundry facilities were first class. The closest restaurant is at Flokalundur about two km beyond the ferry landing. The restaurant was excellent and the restaurant manager, Janos, was very helpful and pleasant. Free range sheep and waterfalls abound in the area!

Had a hard time with the internet. Finally connected after a couple hours there.

Very nice modern kitchen across from room. Private bathroom. Boardwalk from car to room to kitchen all around. Soft comfy beds! Very close to waterfront.

The sink in the bathroom was tiny and the shelf in front of the mirror actually made using the sink awkward. We had a room with a view but the windows had solid blinds so if you kept them up there was no privacy from people walking past to the facilities. If you closed them you saw nothing. Venetians would have been better.

Great location, nice and new. Comfortable and cosy with good shower. The self checkin went smoothly once I found the email with the key box code. Coffee maker in room was much appreciated. Wifi was good.
