Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe rooms are showing signs of wear and tear and would really benefit from an update.
There’s a parking space in the yard but be careful with ZTL zones

United StatesNothing to report! This is an old-style walk-up albergo in an older building. It hasn't been updated much, but it is completely comfortable and clean and a great bargain for Rome.
Excellent location near tram, bus, and train lines, within walking distance of the university and a variety of great places to eat, drink, and browse for books. The rooms are brightly painted and cozy, with lots of unique touches, including hundreds of post-it notes with messages from happy travelers.

FranceLinen really needs to be replaced. Sheets are clean but yellowish and stained . The only reason not to give this hotel a 10/10
Great location in the heart of multicultural and activist Saint Lorenzo quarter . In front of a bus/tramway station with services running late . Common kitchen with confortable dining table . Supermarket one block away . A free ice cream in the best Gellateria of that part of town . Nice helpful staff . Easy access

GermanyThe beds were quite saggy and felt more like camp beds – with thin mattresses and a metal slatted base. We only stayed one night, as I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep in such a bed for much longer. There surely is room for improvement there.
The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting someone in the San Lorenzo district. In general, it’s a great area for young people – with lots of bars and a lively, youthful atmosphere. At the same time, the proximity to Termini Station is very convenient for exploring the city further.

TaiwanThe shower water pressure is a bit low, and toilet flush is a bit weak as well. All in all no major issues, you get what you paid for 😄
The location is great. With the tram, you can easily get into the touristic spots in city center but enjoy the quietness back to the room. There is a nice cafe to have breakfast just downstairs, and a few nice tratorrias / mini marts to buy groceries. The room is simple, basic and clean. We were surprised that there is daily room service! We didn't meet the owner due to late arrival, but the communication is smooth and timely for self check-in.

SpainLocation was great for me because it was about 8 mins away from my conference building, but it's a bit far from sights if you're going for a short stay (still not bad, 30min walk to the Colosseum).
Very nice, spacious room & bathroom, clean and tidy, big cupboard. Very comfortable and quiet (windows faced a back patio), well lit. Being able to use the kitchen was a plus. Comfy bed and especially: great pillows! That's often hard to come across :)

SerbiaAt the same time the doors of the hostel are likely made of paper, you literally hear everything everywhere at the same time. Air conditioner is a bit old-fashioned and consequently is pretty loud. But the worst part is with WI-FI. It works on the cellphone but there is a huge problem with laptops, sometimes you need to sit on the chair in the hallway right beside the access point. So it is a perfect place for those who spend the whole day somewhere and come back just to sleep.
I read lot's of comments that the stay is situated at a very busy street and it's quiet loud. Well, it's located at the ordinary huge city street and it's not loud at all, especially if windows are closed. The place (room, kitchen, terrace) is equipped with everything you may need, there are spare blanket and pillow in the wardrobe, the air conditioner worked well. Everything has a touch of history but everything is very clean. It is also great that there is a nice place for coffee and sandwiches right next door, two small shops are around the corner and a supermarket is 5 min. walk. The bus stop is 5 min. walk away (someone has written that it wasn't safe to go there, well having an experience of living in different huge cities, I may say it's very safe there). Cafes and restaurants are 10 min. walk.

BulgariaThe smell of the molt. You can't see it, but you can smell it. If they work of the matter, the room would be perfectly corresponding to the price.

NetherlandsBedroom side of the street. Street very busy and heard quite a lot of ambulances pass. Other bedroom is beside the shared bathroom so might also not be handy to sleep in if the other rooms are all booked. Shared bathroom rooms were all on the not street side so might have been better. Noisy enough, we were lucky there was only one other room booked. With earplugs very doable. Bathroom old. Shower ok but not great, should get fixed. Bed fine for me but my partner thought the matress was very hard.
Good location with free private parking! Tram in front of the B&B and metro/bus few min walk away. We had a room with private bathroom. Very big room with extra room with bed and a balcony. Aircon good.

SerbiaThe rooms that have street view can be soooo loud when you open the window, that you can't hear each other in the room. But it gets really quiet once you close the window 😊 and you definitely get used to it with time 😁 the shower cabin is quite small, so it might be a problem for bigger people, but it was just fine for us. However, when you come to Rome, you probably won't spend much time in your room, so this is a great value for money!
This accommodation is in a very good location...you can walk to the Colosseum, and get easily everywhere by bus/tram! The owner was very helpful by giving us the map and all the info. He also let us leave our suitcases there the last day, since our flight was later during the day. The kitchen is a nice addition, since you can keep your food or drinks in the fridge. You can also sit on the balcony in the evening if you decide to stay in the accommodation or you're back from the city earlier. There are shower gel/ shampoo and hand soap in the toilet, as well as hair drier...which was really helpful. Few markets are in walking distance, as well as some nice, family restaurants. You'll probably meet some homeless people on your way there, but they don't pay much attention to people walking around.
