Perhaps breakfast was a little disorganised, but I am diabetic and need to eat very early, perhaps a bit too early for them.

To discover the fabulous restaurant Delfin, in house. Saturday night dinner was beautiful.

Breakfast was not what a Dutchman is used to have. But that's perhaps 'Italian style' 😀

This hotel was not damaged during the 2009 earthquake in L'Aquila. Situated in a quit area of the town. The staff was relaxed and friendly.

A bit far off from the city centre. Not many fast-food type restaurants nearby.

Friendly staff. Nice, quaint, old-fashioned hotel. Restaurant is great.

The breakfast was not very good, although the coffee was. The room smelled as if it had been smoked in since the furnishings were put in. We paid €10 less than in a super place in Bari, so felt a bit cheated!

The location is quite nice, if difficult to access. The lady who checked us out gave us a lot of useful info about L'Aquila and surroundings.

On arrival we found the previous guests' dirty bathmat in the bathroom, fluff on the floor and dust on surfaces + half a bottle of water in the fridge; during our 3 nights' stay we never got a bathmat and water bottle was never removed/replaced. Staff in breakfast room was either absent or just absent-minded (no coffee refills offered - no restocking of breakfast buffet). Breakfast selection generally poor.

Helpful reception staff. Quiet and good-sized room. Nice bed and bathroom (apart from dirty bathmat on arrival). Good wi-fi in room. Good location near restaurant and train station.

Hard to find because L'Aquila is such a wreck. Breakfast was poor both in quality & quantity eg ran out of croissants, no cappuccino, tired fruit - a mean offering in contrast to the warm & friendly hotel overall.

Very comfortable, well appointed rooms. Staff very friendly & helpful. Excellent restaurant attached, run by same family. Virtually next to the new museum.

Directions to get to the hotel. Due to the still ongoing repair works in the city following the earthquake, it is very difficult to navigate through the city. Getting to the hotel is extremely difficult. We circled around it for more than 30 minutes before finally going - illegally - against the direction of traffic through the gate in the city wall that is 100m from the hotel. If there is legal way to get to the hotel, it would be good for the hotel to add this prominently to the website or email it to all travellers who reserve.

Ambiance of the building; breakfast; nearness to fountain monument

Everything was fine at the hotel, no bad points.

Comfortable and stylish hotel, all fully operational, professional and friendly staff. A great restaurant (Delfino) linked to it. An oasis in the city of L/Aquila, which is overwhelmed by the post earthquake reconstruction work - a "must see" now, the transformation of a whole centro storico into a massive building site is beyond imagination, sad but inspiring. The hotel is an easy walk from the railway station; is next to the restored 99 Cannelle, one of the main sights; and is next door to the newly opened Abruzzo Museum.

We didn't realize how badly the earthquake of 2009 left it's impressions. It is not that we did not like but rather how sad the situation.

The staff were superb. We felt like family. They fed us beautifully. This is a great place to stay.

Despite all of the damage in L'Aquila from the 2009 earthquake Hotel 99 Cannelle is a very nice place inside. The restaurant at the Hotel, Delfina at 99 Cannelle, is a real gem. Great regional cuisine at reasonable prices.

Room dark, barely any storage space- one wardrobe, no cupboards or drawers at all. Nice(ish) bathroom but bedrooms no longer have the character they once did. very, very sad.

Visited this hotel before the earthquake and it's good to see they are up and running again. The hotel is central to the old town which is sadly still pretty much closed and deserted - evidence of the terra muoto everywhere even 6 years on.

Bed was a bit hard. Restaurant nice but perhaps a bit overpriced - we were there during the Alpini annual reunion 300,000 people - so the prices may reflect that.

Location is near the 99 Cannele fountain, which is lovely. With the rest of L'Aquila a ghost town, this small hub of activity is perfect. It's also near the train station and the relocated museum (when it re-opens, now scheduled for June 2015)

Sadly L'Aquila is still recovering from the earthquake which struck here in 2009. There are still numerous homes and buildings that are abandoned or destroyed.

The hotel was easy to find and nicely situated near the 99 Fountains. The adjacent restaurant served a fine meal. The hotel accommodations were quite good.
