Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaThe menu for lunch / dinner is extremely small for the price and is not even sophisticated as to account for the price . Also there is really few alternatives beside one small supermarket some blocks from the hotel or the hotel bar. As a reference a dish stated as a first course was 2 slices of ham (2mm x 50 x 100) with sauce and charged above 10 eur. Even a toddler would found that scarce. In order for a proper plate you would have to combine all the steps rising to around 60 eur per person. On top of these you cant go or stay at the beach without booking and paying an umbrella (you cant even sit on the sand). And the amount of umbrellas is less than the amount of rooms. We found this silly and a bad commercial strategy. In my opinion it would be better for the hotel to raise the room price 20eur (umbrella cost) and allow the guests to use the beach without restrictions.
The location near the beach and the view was great. Also the swimming pool was very nice. Really good breakfast. Agains my opinions on the lunch and dinner breakfast was really generous.

AustraliaThe fact that there was no safe, no tea or coffee making facilities. At breakfast no was no coffee making facilities, you had to order your and were told the first one was free from the non it was charged. The pool wasn’t always cleaned on time.
The rooms were clean and reasonable comfortable. The barman was great happy to chat and be of assistance when required.

PortugalThere’s not much to do around the hotel so you need to travel to do anything. Taxis are really expensive but there’s a really great bus service right outside the hotel that goes every couple of hours - would suggest car rental too.
Really lovely hotel and amazing sea room views as the hotel is right on the beach. Breakfast is fab and the room was clean and made up daily which was a great touch! Staff were really friendly and helpful too.

ItalyThe size of the shower was a little small and beds were 2 singles pushed together to make a double
For our purpose of the holiday the hotel was perfect. All staff were excellent and helpful. The décor and feel of the hotel is in the 70's but gave a quirky feel which we enjoyed.

AustraliaThe rooms are dated The mattresses are singles pushed together and are old, probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The bar area was full of mosquito's even inside I tried to escape them but they were worse and no air-conditioning so no good place to relax and have a quiet drink. We were charged for the water bottles in our fridge We were told if we wanted pool towels we'd have to rent them Not good enough for 180 euro per night and a 4 star hotel
The location is great, The pool is great and the beach is just a 30 second walk down some stairs. The staff were all very nice. The beach umbrellas are cheap only 10 for the day and the water is blue. Happy days

United KingdomBreakfast is okay but not great, mainly continental and we prefer a cooked breakfast. Dinner is expensive for its average quality and were relatively small portions. However, we came during off season so facilities may have been restricted.
Location close to Ironman event and also direct access to the beach was great. Hotel provided storage and space for our bikes and offered an early breakfast on race day - all of which made things much easier so was very much appreciated. Rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job tidying around a lot of personal items. View of the sea and beach was amazing.

Ireland- Food at this hotel was like school food. Very very basic and overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was awful. Waiting staff were not friendly and were unatentive. - No safety Deposit Box in room. - The bed was old and uncomfortable/ protruding springs. - You can hear everything in the rooms next door and hallways.. very thin sound insulation. - For Covid times, the room was not clean to a good standard. I had to buy disinfectant wipes and clean grime from bedside lockers. Cloth was black after. Not very hygienic.
Front Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent location. Right on a beautiful beach. Garden / Patio pool area was perfect. Surprised by the large balcony in our room. Very nice for a quiet evening drink.. but lots of mosquitoes so beware. 15min drive from Pula which is a truly beautiful little town, with a number of excellent restaurants. In my opinion, not a 4 star hotel. 3 at most. This property has so much potential to be excellent. Its beach is beautiful and location excellent.

Switzerlandbreakfast: bread not so good and croissants rather very much industrial made.. rest is ok. Some music outside from 11 pm to midnight .. strange .. why not to use some big rooms they have inside for this purpose so the music is not audible from outside to all rooms.
The room, the bed and the view. In general quiet. Food at restaurant is also good.

United KingdomWe never complain, however this experiences has made us very disappointed. First day we went to the beach that belonged to the hotel- it was between 2-3 pm as our room wasn’t ready. We only used our towels to chill on the sand as we didn’t see the point to pay (£5-£10)for sun beds for only couple of hours, however one of the lifeguards came to us and kicked us out from the beach that belonged to the hotel even thought we explained that we are quests in the hotel. When we went back to the reception for our key for the room , we have explained what happened however the lady on the reception didn’t really understood our concerns and how it made us feel, her unswear was : no problem/okey. However, it does not say anywhere that you can only stay on the hotels beach using the sun bed- so extremely disappointed from this experience! Breakfast- every day the same !! One evening we went for dinner- for a 4 star hotel meal the dinner was extremely disappointing. When we complained st he staff didn’t really understand- again speaking English with anyone except one lady on the reception was really difficult. After complaining about our salad for £5 which we ordered 3 portions and all of them were bitter, the pork that we ordered was not eatable- it was so so greasy - honestly never experienced a meal like this and especially for those prices. After complaining, they did take it off our bill. The menu was extremely limited! One afternoon don’t remember the time, but we went to the bar inside the hotel to ask for some Ice for our water as we we’re staying next to the pool, however no one was at the bar therefore went to the reception however they’re response was that the bar is closed. After 30 min we have seen the lady from the reception making a coffee for other guests!!! When booking this hotel it doesn’t state that the bar is open only certain hours and that it closes in the middle of the day. Pool nice and warm , however extremely dirty on the bottom.
Just how close it was to the beach , beach was always clean , rooms we’re cleaned regularly, hotel was clean generally.

United KingdomThe property is old in style and in service - it feels very stuck in the past. The rooms and furnishings are old, our rooms had no ventilation in the bathroom so we had to open the door to shower at night and mosquitos loved it - every night we were killing them and also getting eaten alive. Breakfast is average and not sufficient for gluten free options. It finishes at 10 on the nose and even just before things had run out. One morning I could not eat anything on offer but was told I was too late for additional. On checking out we asked for the receipt in my partners name but were told it had already been printed in mine and wasn’t possible to redo. We will never be back - there are better options!! This place is past it!!

FranceThe AC is so noisy that we can’t sleep, even when the AC is off, but then the bedroom is so hot we can’t sleep neither. That means we couldn’t sleep the all week. Hunts on the bedroom. The employees are not nice, they never smile. The kitchen from the beach bar closes at 14h that means the all afternoon we have nothing to eat… the day we checked out they tried to made us pay for the umbrella more expensive than the other days saying that we were no more clients from the hotel…. That’s how they treat the clients.. once you check out they don’t care about you. The breakfast typical from a 2 star hotel. You have almost no choice. the hotel is really old, all the furniture, the lifts… a 4 star hotel in the 60’s for sure because now it’s more a 2 stars. Never coming back again.
