Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThere's no elevator all the way up to the floor. It's mandatory for the guest to walk up 2-3 stories. It was not a issue for us, but maybe it'll be for mobility reduced people.
The room had interesting features like a bath tube and sauna. The facility had a complete kitchen. The room had snacks available (incredible). The location is outstanding: 10min to the castel sant'angelo, 15 min to the vatican, 10 min to piazza navona, etc. The facilty is right above a really interesting restaurant (Clotilde). Although there is no reception at the site, hence no crew, they made sure to perfectly guide and left a sweet handwritten note in our room.

AustraliaLift is small. Need to walk up last 1.5 flights of stairs as the lift doesn’t go right up.
Location is fantastic. Clean. Room serviced daily. Stayed in the Domus Adriani Annexe as hotel was closed. Breakfast rolls, water and snacks provided. Terrace is lovely.

ItalyWhat I’m about to write isn’t a complaint about the property but the other hotel guests who didn’t read or care to follow directions regarding the elevator in the building. Since the annex is situated on the top level of a residential building and shares the only elevator with the other apartments I found it very inconsiderate that many guests wouldn’t make sure that all the doors of the elevator were closed and therefore the elevator wouldn’t function. It’s really incredible how unaware some people can be.
My sister and I stayed at the annex building of the hotel which only has 5 rooms which share a common kitchen area. It was great! It felt more like a private little apartment in the heart of Rome.

FranceWe reserved and expected to be at the hotel with all commodities, but because of renovations, we were informed that we would stay in another building a few meters away. Yet, We decided to keep our reservation since we liked the location and we don’t regret. It was a different experience but still a good one!
Barbara was so helpful and efficient.

United States of AmericaThe drains need work, it was unfortunate in our time there, but the shower drained very slow. The shower need grout the dark missing spots make it look like mold recommend you fix that before you get a complaint.
The room was nice and comfy. The facility is clean. The room was located in a different building. It's more of an American style air bnb with room service. It has towels and room service which is great, and the small breakfast area in the room and the common area has some delicious snacks. The rooms are hard to get to it is alot of work but it is worth it. I'd you are elderly or need assistance climbing steep stairs, sorry but yhis is not the place for you. The shower is not closed off at all. We stayed in the red room. The toiled is walled off but its small.

United KingdomWe were originally booked in for the actual Hotel Adriano where we stayed before, unfortunately this was under renovation and we were moved to the annex, although it still showed original hotel and rooms on site. We found that the room was clean and tidy but was in need of updating, shower was old, the food supplied was not something we would have had for breakfast compared to a proper continental breakfast but understand this due to no proper restaurant facilities, which was disappointing. The living area is used by 5 to 6 rooms and we did not know if we could use the tea, coffee, bread that was there at this area so a bit confusing. With it being what looked like a small apartment building the lift was tiny, we were very cramped if the both of us used lift and certainly could not fit us both and suitcase into it, my husband had to use the stairs most times which after a long day out sightseeing was quite a task.
The staff, Barbara was were very helpful with queries we had, Valentino kept our room clean and tidy every day. The area of the hotel as it is near all the sights within walking distance, shops, restaurants etc.

United KingdomUnfortunately our aircon was locked to heat mode. We asked for it to be unlocked so we could set it to cool. This was agreed with the staff but it didn't happen. Also safe wasn't working. Also pillows very hard.
Location was grrreat! Nice additional touches like slippers, snacks in mini bar, umbrellas etc. WiFi was good. Cleaner lady was lovely!

United KingdomWe were very happy with everything!!
My 16 year old daughter and I stayed in the Annex of Hotel Adriano on a 5 night visit to Rome and it was quite simply brilliant!! It's location is so central that many attractions are within easy walking distance eg. the Trevi Fountain. Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Vatican. Our room was spotless, well equipped and surprisingly quiet for such a central location - having a terrace to sit outside and soak up the sounds of Rome was quite simply the icing on the cake! Barbara, the owner, could also not have been more welcoming or helpful - we were incredibly grateful.. We will definitely revisit!!

IsraelThe building of the hotel is closed, so the rooms were in a different building. This building has a lot of stairs and a small elevator, not so comfortable for carrying luggage, but other than that it was good.
The hotel is located in a very good spot, close to all the attractions and restaurants/bars. It was clean, comfortable and nice.

NetherlandsThere was no real breakfast, but the nearby Piazza del Pantheon offers ample possibilities. A bit further away, a terrace facing the fountain of the four rivers inpiazza Navona provided an ideal setting. But the bar in via Portoghesi on the corner with via della Scrofa must surely rank as our favourite roman headquarters in the morning. Friendly prices, smiles, and full of romans.
The hotel was closed for renovation, we got a room in the residence "domus adriani". The room was on the penultimate floor, with a private terrace. The service was professional and personal. We received a video to ease our arrival, and there was ample possibility to get additional information and help. Room service was exemplary

United States of AmericaCheck in was rough after traveling all day. We were expecting a lobby with a reception, but instead it was just a lockbox with a key. However, someone was already in our assigned room. Thankfully we were given a different room. I do think this listing is quite misleading because this is NOT a hotel and right around the corner you can see where the Hotel Adriano was and it’s completely boarded up and closed.
Extremely clean room and absolutely gorgeous balcony. Very large and comfortable bed. Clean towels every day.
