Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The air conditioning didn’t work and was not resolved even when requested. This contributed to a lack sleep, because was too hot, open window also reduced sleep due to noise of traffic and lots of mosquito bites.

Breakfast was just 1 cruassain and 1 drink. Not that I did not like it but that is not a true breakfast.
Sarah was super helpful! They let us enter before check in time which was great. Location is perfect. Room was clean and safe. Quite. 40 min by foot to city centre and 15 min by walk+ metro.

I wish the breakfast was in house. We had to walk 100 m to a pit stop with the coupons and options were very limited. Especially for parents. Wasted a lot of time as we had to plan for this in mind.
We opted this place for it's proximity to the station as we had luggage. Stay was comfortable and staff was good. With the hop on hop off bus it's convenient to roam but if you are planning to walk then all touristy places are far.

The breakfast is outside the hotel about 2 blocks, a small cafeteria. they serve croissants, sandwiches, coffee of your choice and fresh orange juice. Would be nice to have other options that serve with eggs, fruits and yoghurt.
Maria was amazing, We arrived in the evening and the reception is only from 9am-6pm, but she's given the instructions to get in the place/ room very clear. The room was spotlessly cleaned daily. Very close to termini, restaurants and mini grocery. The public bus 492 is even just in front so it's super easy to go around Rome and goes back to the hotel. We will definitely choose this place again if we'd come back.

Breakfast is not in the same building, it is a 4-5 minutes walk away. Not friendly for those with heavy luggage travelers as the lift is not in same level as the entrance. The street where the entrance is ,was dirty. Big garbage containers overflowing with rubbish are in the street.
It is near central station. Nice to have experienced staying in an antique building.

I liked that a communal table with wall adapters & coffee was offered to whoever needed it. I loved the windows- seriously sound proof! I kept opening & closing them in awe haha. Also, the view down to the street was great. The bathroom was clean with hot showers.

Nothing everything was perfect
Maria was lovely and very accommodating. We turned up early and she stored our bags. The breakfast at the local cafe up the road was delicious and staff their were helpful and friendly. There is a laundry mat close by. and it is walking distance to termini. Perfect location for everything. Nice linen on beds and confy bed very clean apartment. We loved our stay here.
